    yep. They (Charlie & FIA) will probably let them run the "illegal" mirrors this race and by next race they should be off; just like Ferrari's issue with the winglets on the mirrors via halo.

    Not really, Ferrari’s winglets were a loophole on the rules, these are not.

    Actually Merc's are as well...they are calling them a load-bearing device and thus part of the crash structure of the car.

    Probably load bearing for mirror support

    I thought they were banned because they were seen as aero pieces on the halo region. I may be wrong though. If so my bad.

    Ferrari mirrors were not banned. They are still there today along with their supporting structure. The winglets coming off the supporting structure via the mirrors from the halo were banned.
