I'm a bit worried about the lack of data on the softs but I think we have pole in the bag

It’s ferrari pole to loose. Good from kimi.

I want RB to pick up their pace. Problem with them is, they are unable to switch on HS.
they were also slower than predicted in Hungary.

Surely, but RBR also seem to have been out-developed in high-downforce aero. Which is quite uncharacteristic as they've been talking about throwing everything they have at this race.

    About the softs.
"With Mercedes heading out on the soft tyres, Ferrari comfortably held down the 1-2 prompting Hamilton to return to the pits complaining that the yellow tyres were not representative in the heat. He was P16 to Valtteri Bottas’ P4"

Mercedes was able to do 2 flying laps on HS but Ferrari couldn't, tyres were gone after first sector of second run.

We only need one lap on them each run for pole

    Possible strategies:
    The quickest TWO-STOPPER HS-US-HS
Some who start out of the top 10 might go on US-S, but Isola warns about blistering, as the stint on the Soft would be too long to manage the tyre.

He means it's worrying for the race. You don't only need 1 lap from them, you need like 15.

ultras seem to be the best race tyre, not too slow like softs and not as fast degrading like hypers(i think 10 laps at most) out of a 60 lap race, might definitely be a 2 stopper

will be the same for everyone come tmrw, qualy sim degradation in FP3 isn't necessarily a reflection how of how they would do in the race.

We'll probably have the pace to get through Q2 in US and start the race on them. So the hypers can only be used for Q3.

Pretty sure it's only a standing start if the race starts behind the SC.

ICYMI: Kvyat has signed a contract to race for Toro Rosso next season
so gio is our only sim driver? would be silly to ask kvyat to setup ferrari's and give rb even more info

I doubt they will give much data ne info to Kyvat given his background with RB
I am sure Ferrari learnt its lesson from the 2007 spygate scandal

I mean teams and hide info from drivers. Especially those they know won't be around long enough. For example Red Bull would have had planned how much to let Riccardio know given his contract issue this year.
I am sure they won't give them the sort of info that will be detrimental to them in future if they know they guy wont be around long
Think of it a bit like clearnce levels at intelligence organizations like MI6 or CIA
