That’s right. The tyres are a step softer. So last years medium is this years hard. Last years soft is this years medium. Etc etc.

So hopefully we are decent on the 'medium' tyre this year since we did well on it last year when it was called the soft. I think the mercs didn't like the softer tyres start of the year

That is why they are not bothered doing ruining on it because they have enough data and setup from last year soft which is this year's medium

Correct and they did some running on the new medium and I guess they feel the data they collected mirrors what they have from last year. my strong feeling is Ferrari is not showing their hands at all and they wont until Australia,

Vettel's stint takes another turn for the impressive as he puts in a lap of 1:20.916 and follows it up with a 1:20.785

And then the Ferrari goes quickest of all with a lap of 1:20.396 to dislodge Bottas and Mercedes from top spot

1.20.3 on mediums... still not yet into 1.19.
Vet did 1.20.1 on mediums in first test if I’m not wrong.

and thats on the mediums (which Sky obviously dont want to say because it aint Hamilton)!
