So last week Im driving, other lane comes a Ferrari, looked to be in the 330 family..I couldnt get turned around fast enough. I will generally, when seeing an old Ferrari, turn around and follow the Ferrari. On a few occasions I actually follow them to their house. Be surprised at how many times the people are very friendly, walk me around the car and tell me all about it. Im a bit crazy when I spot an old killer Ferrari. Theres a lot of history there, n they just are so smokin cool...

Today, waiting at a stop sign..past me goes..yes, 1 of my all time favorites and greats, a Daytona...now this baby was Ferrari red, original red...had that race car look of its day..I tear out, but due to traffic wasnt able to get to her until they pulled onto the turning lane to jump onto the freeway.. I was stuck in another lane, but was able to go by her....what a sound....glorious...I beeped and waved and in my rear view was able to watch AND hear it turning onto the freeway and accelerate...Wow...there is nothing, to me, quite like that...

Its really great to know there are some classic Ferrari owners who bought their cars to enjoy. Sadly, they seem to be out numbered by investment collectors who hide them away in a garage, afraid to get a scratch or add a mile.

I know of this family..theyve been collecting Italian cars, especially Ferrari's for years.
They always keep them original, n they drive them quite a bit. Very nice.

Isn't that stalking?

Isn't that stalking?

No, that's a Ferrari fan! I do it when ever the opportunity arises. I think most owners appreciate it, and if your lucky enough to talk to one, they are more then willing to talk about their car. I remember going to a dealership, and noticing a lot of the cars had a tan interior, when in my opinion black would have looked better with certain exterior colors. The salesman explained to me it was easier to see the driver, and a Ferrari owner wanted to be noticed!

Isn't that stalking?

lol, guess its just what one is stalking...Everytime Ive caught one of these Ferrari's, the owners were always
great to talk to. They enjoy when people notice their car, especially the older Ferrari's. I have a friend who still has
all of his old Alfa's. We used to hang at a shop where they fixed and stored Italian cars when I had my Fiats. It was at this shop
I met my 1st Stangualini...Know what that is? It was amazing, n the owner let me sit in it. I almost bought a Fiat 124 coupe there, now
I wish I did..it was much more fun than the Spyder.

Was driving home this year from the Indy/Rolex race in Alabama, cruising at around 90 when I saw very bright lights in my mirror. By the time I looked to my lef to see, it was already beside me, a brand new 599 GTO, red and loud!!!!! WOW!!

Had a chance to see it running when a valet (lucky !) turned it on and took it away...
There's nothing like the sound of a Ferrari engine...

Back in March I saw a 458 in Rosso Corsa race a Porsche 911 Turbo S across the Pont de Alma.

No need to say the 458 destroyed the Porsche, but also shouted down the flat 6 with the glorious V8 Caruso:-D
