The divorce could hardly have materialised overnight. This decision might have been a pending dialogue all of last season, inspite of which Nando managed to almost get 2nd. Sort of puts into perspective lewis hamiltons moaning over parting with his girlfriend vis-a-vis his awful form all season.

For Fernando yes I think your right but Lewis couldn't and publicly said that his personal life affected his professional one. What I ment is the 'break-up' didn't affect Alonso's professional life like Hamilton's and if anything he was constantly putting in stronger and stronger performances.
