This is the £1million Ferrari hypercar Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen have been promised if they win next season’s Formula One Driver's title.

LaFerrari, which was launched earlier this year by the Italian giants, boasts a top speed of more than 220mph, and can reach 60mph in less than three seconds.

Alonso and Raikkonen, who is rejoining Ferrari after he acrimoniously split with the team in 2009, will form a new-look partnership at the Italian manufacturer next season.

And the pair have been handed an extra incentive to win Ferrari’s first drivers’ title since Raikkonen stormed to glory in 2007, by laying claim to only one of only 499 limited edition models made by the Prancing Horse.

Alonso has helped test and contributed to the engineering of LaFerrari, which was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The Spaniard took the £1million machine for a spin around Ferrari’s home track Maranello in August, and judging by the grin on his face when he drove it, he’ll be keen to land one on a permanent basis.

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo, specifically handpicks who can buy the 220mph car with candidates only eligible for the new hypercar if they already own five Ferraris.

I could be mean and say '' Kimi and Alonso will win Ferrari WDC and WCC for sure if they give them Ferrari F1 supercar '', but i will not say that.
It wouldn't be appropriate, it is christmas time after all.

I think I read somewhere that Fernando already has one, but maybe I'm wrong.

I was thinking I might trade in my Alfa Giulietta for the 1 Million pound LaFerrari, if I traded my car in I might get 12,000 pounds, which means I would need finance of 988,000, the only problem is you have to own 5 Ferraris:xmaseek::xmaswink:. I should of done better at school instead of messing around.

Why not give them both one if we win the WCC?

Shows the WDC is way more important I guess.

To me as Ferrari team supporter WCC is what I am looking for. WDC is nice bonus to that!

To the teams the WCC is the most important by far.

For the top teams, they are oriented towards WDC. You could see from the actions and decisions that WDC is the priority.

WDC for me, WCC is the bonus but has to come with the WDC to be worth celebrating :-)

Yeah your right WDC is the one to have, all you have to do is look how a team react when these titles are decided.

It's completely impossible to tie in F1. Even if they would have equal points at the end of the season, the FIA will then count the number of wins, podiums and etc. to determine the winner.

Christmas spirit is nice and all, but 1 million pounds is one million pounds.

PS: dont ever search for split car images in a search engine... there are really disgusting images of accidents.

Well then I'd really like to see that happening. I think there's a much greater chance to win a jackpot in a lottery than that happening. :lol

In that case i think they decide winner by alphabet order of drivers names.

Don't like this idea of giving an incentive to the drivers. The engineering staff should be given incentives be it a car or some form of a bonus but not the drivers. Our problem is not the drivers but the car. The drivers are already generously paid no need to give them more. Besides Alonso is already a motivated enough driver and Kimi seems motivated. This might give the wrong signal to the team that the onus is more on the driver to perform.

They will probably look at qualifying results of Q3. If Q3 is the same then look at Q2. If that is the same then look at Q1. If that too is the same then look at number of fastest laps? If that too is the same then yes look at their last names!

Why would they want what they can already afford?

I mean the guys are so mega rich they can buy anything they want, Ferrari need to stop throwing money at the already cashed up guys. What they need is something that you can't buy, I.E the championship winning F1 car they win in ;)

They can afford to buy one yes, but since all the other 498 LaFerraris are already sold out then that means they can't buy it for any amount of money. But Ferrari will keep one in reserve just for such a special occasion, like winning the WDC and then giving it to the newly crowned Champion.

It would be nice if they gave the equivalent (in total, obviously) to the factory people if they win both titles.

I'm sure the factory workers will get plenty of money bonuses and other great perks, if Ferrari wins both titles or even just one of the titles.

Hey Luca, how about you give the drivers a decent F1 car 1st, so we can actually win the WDC! No point giving them an even better reason 2 race their bums off if u cant give them a fast competitive car.

Well, my 1st choice would be a 458, but since I live in the US and the only place to drive the 458 as intended would be the desert, Id like a California....please.
