Hi guys
Just a quick one ... I have just arrived back to the UK after travelling to Madrid to see the fernando alonso collection and just wanted to say wow!!!! By far one of the most amazing experiences ever. Gives you a real insight into his life and the struggle to how he got to where he is now! I have been a fan of fernando since 2006 and it meant a lot to me to go... If anyone considering it get yourself there!!!
Now the reason for this thread is I am just appealing for some help .. I am going to the Barcelona Grand Prix as well as silver stone this year... It will be my 8th British Grand Prix experience but I have never been to the Spanish Grand Prix ... Just wanted to know if any of you guys have ever been? Any tips? And also I am hoping to meet some of the drivers .. Does anyone know where is best at the catalunya track to wait for them to arrive or leave ? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks guys FORZA ferrari !!!!!!

Hiya,
I to will be attending Spanish GP, I also attend last year, What package have you gone for? Where about you staying? I will arriving early Friday morning but will skip the Friday practice to see some of city, I will attend Saturday and Sunday full day, with a late flight back on Monday night, Not sure where best to see and met drivers would be, Take plenty of money with you, lots of trade stalls, Take your own food and drink to the track as prices are very expensive, As I found out on the Saturday last year, Take a walk around the track to experiance the diff viewing areas, some good ones around the back of the track.
Look forward to seeing others comments as well,
Will look out for you :-)

Here's a link to the topic "going to the 2014 Spanish GP (http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/groups/going-to-the-spanish-grand-prix-at-circuit-de-catalunya/forum/topic/going-to-the-2014-spanish-grand-prix-at-circuit-de-catalunya/)..." on the F1Fanatic website, usually a few posters have already been to previous races & can probably give some useful info (unless you already knew of it!).
Needless to say, I'm green with envy... hope you have a great time.

Thanks schumybpy83 :)
We arrive on the wed evening, going to the pitfall and the track all 3 days. Race day we are sat at grandstand b I think without checking. We have just booked flights and hotel separate. We are staying in villedesemar which is I believe just a short walk away from a metro or might be a train station to get us to the track. Think it's about 20 mins away but not sure tbh.
Do they have a lot of fernando merchandise? Going to the British gp every year seeing the Lewis stalls gets repetitive haha.
Just looked in the link abbotcostello thanks :) good advice on there so will save as a link and refer back to it.
Thanks again for ur help guys.

Hi
I'm planning on going to the Fernando Alonso collection myself. But I was wonderring: if you buy tickets online you have to choose an hour. Can somebody explain me how it works exactly? Do I choose an hour, when I can enter the collection, and can I only stay 1 hour or how does it work? Thanks

I brought my tickets online and I opted for 3pm to give me time to get there cuz I wasnt sure of how traffic etc would be but I ended up getting there about 12. I wasnt sure how it worked so sat outside for a bit but it was freezing so thought I may as well ask if I can go in. So went to the ticket office n showed her my ticket n she said your ticket is 3pm or do u want to go in now. So I asked if I could just go in now and she said yeh. You can have as much time as u want in the museum. I spent a good 2 hours in there. Your bags get scanned before u go in and they give u the option of putting it in a locker style thing save you carrying it with you. Just to let u no as well aftee the museum there is a fernando alonso collection shop .. amazing!!! Spent 160 in there so take spending money lol!! I even got a fernando alonso salt and pepper set! You are love the collection its truly memorable :)
