I just saw a report or rather post on Facebook by Forza Ferrari (an unofficial fan page for SF) saying RBR are dumping renault as the engine suppliers and will be using their own engine starting the austrian GP in june.
I think its a :Hmm report as the engine would not be homologated etc., Or could it be possible? :-E

This is the exact post....
"Red Bull ditch Renault to use their own F1 V6 turbo engines from June onward:
Red Bull Racing are soon to announce to the Formula 1 world that they have committed to building their very own V6 turbo engine, which will make it’s debut at the Austrian Grand Prix in June.
The directive, to build their own power unit, has reportedly come from Red Bull’s billionaire owner Dietrich Mateschitz in the wake of his team’s countless problems during testing at Jerez and Bahrain."...

Someone has a sense of humour, even in these difficult times for the tifosi! Red Bull doesn't work without vodka anyway, IMO. Also, just a thought, I read that Merc are developing the Infiniti Q30 hatchback for Nissan/Infiniti on the A-class platform, surely a conflict of interests when Merc is fighting against Renault/Nissan/Infiniti on the F1 engine front? Maybe Red Bull will end up with Merc engines??? God help us.

Is it not true that there a specific number of teams an engine supplier can provide to.
Has merc not reached it's limit yet?
or was that an old ruling...?

There are rumors/talks that Renault are considering going back to Lotus as the new works team. This either means Red Bull will change their engine supplier or quit the sport.

Red Bullogna Gives You Wings
The article is actually quite detailed, funny how the air box(es) look a little like wings, as well! Too bad it is all wrong for a singular intake which is above drivers head. All in all, had a lot of people convinced, wondering about homologation, etc., etc.
