Have we pitted? Might have fresh tyres

Kyss4k
6th April 2014, 17:15
You can go for Merc engines if you want to, just as long as you stop making your stupid sarcastic jokes!

Nothing else to say.

Btw, low noses are safe alright? Ask Guttierez.

mizf1
6th April 2014, 17:16
Hammy might get taken by Rosberg, thinkRos on faster tyres

DJTaurus
6th April 2014, 17:16
Rosberg will probably win this. Let the fight begin.

I think this damages ferraris image. What woe Enzo do?

shamim179
6th April 2014, 17:17
Nasty crash! And at low speed. Lucky to still be alive!

Hamilton may not win this now?

SC may or may not help Ferrari.

wacc
6th April 2014, 17:17
No point starting on the 2015 car, in previous years did we not start early on the next years car for it to be average?

They have started already as the design process is very long. It is only a matter of how much resources are used for that.

Nero Horse
6th April 2014, 17:18
The truth hurts, doesn't it? Now you know how many of us felt the last few weeks.

We haven't been THIS abysmal in the previous races, but on this track all of our car's shortcomings have been revealed. This is really embarrassing, no one can deny it anymore and we need to get our act together and fast. I can just imagine how furious Luca is right now...Force Indias passing our cars left, right and centre...pfffff *smh* :-s

M.K
6th April 2014, 17:18
Think Maldonado could get black flagged?

DJTaurus

And thanks to Luca for letting Ross Brawn go.

This is the biggest error we made

Anyone know were he is fishing?

Why we're fitted with mediums ?

Both Fernando and Kimi pit, we got fresh tyres to push and maybe get some points...

Maybe Ferrari should have relocated from Maranello to the UK to placate him?

Why we're fitted with mediums ?

maybe there's no softs left

Alesi1

shamim179
6th April 2014, 17:23
Don't think putting on the mediums was the smart thing to do. We need to push in this final stint. And behind SC, tyres will last longer. We might not even be in the points now.

The NBC announcers just described the Merc drivers as "two men on top of their game"
Does anyone really believe that today's F1 car needs a special driver? The machine wins the race 99% of the time. Has Vettel, Alonso, Kimi or Button forgot how to drive?
The new rules have created this mess. Now, Bernie will mandate SC deployment to spice up races. Remember the artificial rain idea? What a joke.

The most entertaining race of the year so far.

Hopefully, this is will be a wakeup call for us but Stefano as usual will preach calm and just put out the fire in the process. But there is no way we will win this year's WDC or WCC. That's been confirmed today.

I agree. Today's F1 is not even a shadow of itself from years past. The rules have emasculated the cars and drivers. F1 should never have "fuel conservation" or "tire mandates" or "green anything" involved in its races. F1 is racing. It's not politics or activism. If all FIA wants is cars in close proximity to each other so they can create "excitement" then they can simply replace all the cars with Prius, Volt, Tesla etc.

Yes, I would like Ferrari to be up front, but that doesn't change my overall opinion of F1 as a whole. The environmental movement has killed Formula One.

Yeah, I purposely omitted RB,my emphasis is more on the Force India as we all know RB is the 2nd best car right now even though they are powered by renault. Had RB been powered by Merc then it would have been a toss up between them and Merc. But again,to be totally defenseless against the likes of Force India (with all due respect)...it's...nauseating!I think it is more than just the PU...its deeper than that,I guess.

Honestly, I am a bit shocked we were SO slow. We were much closer and more competitive in Malaysia. I hoped we could be on par with Williams, Force India and Red Bull, but we were behind them, and a long way behind, let's not fool ourselves. At least I feel a bit better when I share my thoughts with other people on this forum. I know it won't fix anything, but we can't ignore the stuff either and just post: We need to stay calm, it's going to get better. That won't help anyone either, and we won't have a discussion board, because there won't be anything to discuss.

Well, it's a forum. Crying and whining makes as much difference as supporting and pretending we're not that bad. People support the team, actually pay money for merchandise (or other means of supporting the team financially) and no one is saying "I've had enough, I'm with Red Bull/Merc/whoever now". People are unhappy and are voicing their frustration, I see nothing wrong with that. Supporting your team does not equal turning a blind eye to the negatives.

First post - need to vent after that disaster!

Its pretty gutting that Ferrari are nowhere with these new regs, the engine was always our strongpoint. Whoever let Aldo leave the team needs their head examined.

Maybe the engine will become better as the season progresses compared to the Merc though I doubt it. Maybe they are holding back power to improve fuel consumption and reliability (fingers crossed)? 2014 seems like a write off already unless there is a drastic improvement ASAP.

As for the drivers today I think they did well today - the car is a dog to drive and those guys don't become "bad drivers" overnight. I have faith in them, it's the teams top leadership I question sometimes. Ross where are you? :(

You don't really have any rights, the sole intent and purpose of this forum was to create a fan forum where the fans supported the team, not to see the team run into the ground as we can get on any other F1 forum. P6 for Fernando was possible without safety car.

I think that's true. The problem with the SC was that with despite the fresh tyres we simply could not overtake anyone (who is not driving a McLaren) because of the top speed. If we didn't pit it would have been the same, we couldn't defend either.
