from this topic it's seams it's Mercedes fault of currant state of F1, turning F1 to LeMans 24 short version.

We can't blame Mercedes, they are just competing like everyone else, and they did an exceptional job in preparing for this season. This is why they are dominating.

We lost not because we switch to V6 Turbo, we lost simply because we couldn't produce a PU as good as our competitor one.

I doubt Mercedes was the reason why the sport went to V6 turbo, even if they did threaten to quit or whatever. The sport have been trying to "go green" since the days of KERS, and forced induction is the next logical step if that's where we want to go, as it significantly improves efficiency.

is anyone else thinking about this? How long before Red Bull put one of those Merc PU's in their car and dominate the next few seasons again? :-E

I mean its not like we can do something like that but they are free to do it right? am i wrong?

This news doesn't surprise me. A BBC article (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/26943423) suggests Renault did the same and I imagine Ferrari were left with little alternative but to go along with it.

These 'green' trends have been thrust onto F1 by volume car manufacturers with no thought for racing, only to sell more cars which I find contemptible. Both clearly felt they could make the most of their road car experience, but it's quite clear it's only Mercedes celebrating while Renault have fallen flat on their face.

The sooner they're out of F1, the better.

I thought it was Renault who said they would quit if the engine formula was not revised?

I think its pointless to blame anyone other than Ferrari,we knew this rules were to be introduced since 3 years and we did the worst job,we must be different than Red Bul,if we are going to show that we are the best we have to do it on track and not by blaming the rules, its pathetic.

Yes, u can blame the fia for going along with Mercedes decision to run hybrids.
Sure they want to sell this technology on their cars, but why should that effect formula1?
Merc board has been on the fence the last few years about staying.
What I dont care for is the fact that they got what they want and F1 is the worse for it.
Merc can now parade around as they won 2 races. The ones on track, and the one in the fia boardroom.
If I dont get what I want, Im going to take my toys n play elsewhere.
I think the whole thing stinks.

I believe that when they change their engine, next one will be Honda. And I believe that Honda will join again to F1 as a racing team in the near future and when that happens team Honda will be the team to beat, not RedBull.
