7th September 2014, 12:34
We're racing McLaren and RBR here, Williams and Merc will be to far ahead for us to beat on pace. So we need to focus on staying ahead of RBR and overtaking McLaren, if there are troubles ahead we can benefit. I think we are faster than McLaren but overtaking will be hard. RBR will be very fast as well.. Hoping on a good start, hopefully it will be clean

well in all fairness, the Mclosers have the MERC engine so that is a no brainer, but the RED FOOLS.....what's up with that?? i thought they had a crappy engine like OURS, well obviously not from the looks of it

So we haven't overtaken anybody today !! And ALO can't keep up with the cars ahead....or he's saving tires??

none of teh above....when you have a MULE for power house instead of a STALLION, there is NOT much even for the BEST drive on the grid can do

7th September 2014, 13:52
1st DNF for Alonso since Malaysia 2013 (which was not even engine related) and we have a timebomb? LOL

FerrariF60
7th September 2014, 13:53

FerrariF60
7th September 2014, 13:55

Kimi sleeping again under braking and Ricciardo takes teh spot....maybe we should get HIM to drive that second ferrari next year

tifosi1993

What Bottas... Massa for podium!

stefa
7th September 2014, 13:59
Lets hope Raikkonen keeps his P10.

Judging by the lap times it seems he will not

Nova
7th September 2014, 13:59
Slamming the team or the drivers is not going to change anything, or make it better.
We simply blew it. Monza is the pinnacle to me. Yes, this is painful you bet.

7th September 2014, 14:00
Bottas in the 2nd fastest car passing on the straight really is not all that impressive?

stefa
7th September 2014, 14:00
Now I only hope kimi finishes in points...... sky said our points finish is 79 consecutive races. Atleast we should be proud of that.

And what will you say if I say to you that Ferrari has won at least one race in each season since 1994? And now we have THIS in 2014!

But anyway a nice little stat isn't it but means very little.

stefa
7th September 2014, 14:01
Bottas in the 2nd fastest car passing on the straight really is not all that impressive?

Not just me. You can check it on fia.com, formula1.com,.... They all do!

LOL I am sure they do, anyone with any sense would realise it was a bit fake.

Winning one race every season really is not a major benchmark anyway.

Rob
7th September 2014, 14:03
but this is not the 1st race we he showed his skills

no, but look at Perez couple years ago, he/Sauber went different tyre strategy, picked up podiums, everyone thought he good, but when he went to Mclaren, with different tyres, he wasnt so "impressive"

Alessandra
7th September 2014, 14:04
Where's Ricc. Gonna finish? Brilliant driving!

jocaranz
7th September 2014, 14:04
This is home race man. We should be at the top 5 or top 10 or worst just finish the race. For years we are always disappointed. Now if ur going to question if we have the right to rant. Hell YEAH!

How can you be disappointed, it's not like you had plenty of warning we are not quick enough this season. Surely you need to be a little bit more realistic.

stefa
7th September 2014, 14:06
LOL I am sure they do, anyone with any sense would realise it was a bit fake.

Winning one race every season really is not a major benchmark anyway.

It was kinda strange with just 6 cars. But it was not Ferrari problem :-)

7th September 2014, 14:21

Felipe 3rd!!!

stefa

But that is not fair. He had plenty of time to go and take his penalty!

FerrariF60

Felipe 3rd!!!

AT LEAST one good thing came out of this race

Greig
7th September 2014, 14:25
But that is not fair. He had plenty of time to go and take his penalty!

It is fair if he does not stop again otherwise it's a 25 second penalty to go to the pits for no reason.

stefa
7th September 2014, 14:26
It is fair if he does not stop again otherwise it's a 25 second penalty to go to the pits for no reason.

So, he will get 5 or 25 sec on his time?

wacc
7th September 2014, 14:28
But that is not fair. He had plenty of time to go and take his penalty!

It is actually fair. That penalty is meant to be 5 seconds. Not more not less. It is something different than the previous drive through and 10s. stop and go penalty.

stefa
7th September 2014, 14:29
I don't think McLaren can over take Ferrari in CWC.

elnano98
7th September 2014, 14:29
Magnussen didn't take penalty and just be added 5s to his time????

stefa
7th September 2014, 14:29
It is actually fair. That penalty is meant to be 5 seconds. Not more not less. It is something different than the previous drive through and 10s. stop and go penalty.

Than for clarification reason, they should call it 5 sec penalty on end race time, not 5 sec stop and go!

Hornet
7th September 2014, 14:30
Congratulations to Massa on this podium. :champ

What a miserable race for us though. P10 and a DNF :-(

stefa
7th September 2014, 14:31

That will be hard job to do, not impossible, but very hard!

FerrariF60
7th September 2014, 14:32
Than for clarification reason, they should call it 5 sec penalty on end race time, not 5 sec stop and go!

IF there was a need for another pit stop, then he would have served that penalty of 5 seconds extra in the BOX at his pit stop; but since this was a ONE STOPPER strategy, they added the 5 seconds to his final race time

Alesi1
7th September 2014, 14:34
We're lucky with the generous points system, IMO 10th should get nothing, top 6 like old days.

Than for clarification reason, they should call it 5 sec penalty on end race time, not 5 sec stop and go!

If he stopped then it would be 5 second stop go, if not then they add 5 seconds at the end.

IIRC, we've had several electrical issues this season. I guess it finally broke. I hope this is something we can solve before the season with reliability changes to the PU, as we have the performance to sort out come next year.

yeah, hopefully with the allowed parts to change for 2015 in the engine and Power Unit as a whole, we'll be a lot closer in terms or RAW horse power compared to the Mercs and hopefully WAY better then renault....because this just HURTS to watch races this year with a CRIPPLED ferrari trying to to ROUND AND ROUND...

Good for Felipe. Where Ferrari is in the WCC is their own doing..or not doing good enough.
One thing this race showed me..Without Ferrari, F1 is simply another boring race series.
Just what I wanted to see, a merc processional race. No excitement, no overtaking..this is what the
almighty Formula 1 is reduced to...NBC sometimes shows the F2 race, it will be better racing than this.
Who really wants to drive for us when we are this bad, n believe me, we are at a low point I havent seen the

Really happy about Felipe (for HIM, before anyone moans at me about it meaning Williams has jumped Ferrari in the WCC) - I love that he got the biggest cheer from the tifosi and that they were chanting his name. What a sad day for us tifosi but we will rise again one day and we'll forget this one as soon as possible. Rocciardo/Bottas and Perez at least performed superbly to distract us from the inevitable truth. As for the Merc two, my thoughts are unrpintable.:-s

I said this in another thread, but I want to add my .02 here too.

Guys and gals... As much as I would like to believe this insanity is happening with Merc, I don't believe it. If you recall, during the race as Hamilton was closing in on Nico, he came on the radio and emphatically told his engineer to stop telling him the gaps. I truly believe that Nico is having a tough time handling the pressure. Think of Hamilton's first two seasons in F1... Missed being a WDC his rookie season by a point or so and then won it the final year by a point or so. He's had way more experience in high pressure situations whereas Nico has not. If you recall China in Hamilton's first season when he beached the car on the entry to the pits... very similar kind of mistake akin to the one Nico made Sunday. Of course, just my .02...
