Is it possible that f1 calender will be altered someday.
After the grand prix (singapore)
I was liking how the cars look like under those light compared to the natural afternoon lighting.
I think a season of night race would be fantastic.
The question is would the fans like it or they will hate it?
Would it attract more viewers?

Sure!
I've got an even better idea: let's organise the world championship in various indoor karting venues around the world. Eco friendly, cheap, totally safe (even with Maldonado on track) and lots of artificial lighting already in place. We would get to see real passing too, as karts don't need DRS.

I don't think it would be feasible to provide the required lighting for all tracks. Since F1 cars do not have their own headlights, they need full lighting on the track itself. Many huge open tracks like Spa would be very difficult to do it.

Perhaps the cars look great if you are watching it live.. but on TV i prefer a day race. Not really a fan of the night races.

One night race and one two day-night is already enough for me. I am a fan of summer sunshine racing.

If people like Singapore, we should have more races in supermarket car parks..

Night races are just a gimmick, I'm quite happy just to have one proper one per season. It's just as well Singapore is held during the evening because it's the only thing going for it that's a bit different - although it is in keeping with the whole 'I might fall asleep during this GP' theme.

Bernie schedules races, as nearly as possible, to air on TV during prime viewing time in the UK and Western Europe. Singapore fits right in that time slot. So far as the Singapore race goes...it is awful. It looks like a video game. Like other posters have implied, it is like racing in a car park, indoor karting venues or even an industrial park. They race on a brightly lit ribbon in a dark city. All that is missing are some villains and super-heroes and you would have a movie.

Iam happy we only got one nightrace! Eventhough I like Singapore GP, it has to be something special to drive in the night and that won't be the case if every race is driven during night. It's also a bit artificial so no 1 race is ok but not more for me :-)

OK so Singapore looked good but it's a street circuit, can you imagine Monaco under floodlights? Once a year is enough, it just reminds us that summer has gone and F1 to me will always be summer in Europe with the atmosphere we used to get, not the artificial circuits we now have. And double points in Abu Dhabi is ridiculous, along with some of the places Bernie is determined to foist upon us, but I guess it's the money that talks. :roll

Will never happen due to the television schedules. But I personally like the night races in some venues. Singapore deserves to have it due to all the investment and being the first to do it. I think Abu Dhabi should be in the day. Finally I would LOVE to see Monaco at night. It's a spectacle more than a race anyways.

I can't see Monaco ever being a night race, they open up the race track in the evenings for people to party on. Which some folk might enjoy.

There's a surprise, Suzie, if Monaco became a night race, some of us Massaholics would probably miss it!!

How about just some proper races in F1 for a change?
More than one or two constructors and drivers fighting for the win each race, with the truly gifted and fasted driver taking the silverware?
That would be nice:roll
