Watch Marc Gene destroy The Road Atlanta record in an F2003-GA. He is on Pirelli's soft (slicks....imagine if he was on the HS tyre) and not the Bridgestone grooved. TURN UP THE VOLUME!!!!! gotta love that sound and speed.....compared to todays F1 cars :roll.

Hi, thanks for the link ;)

My favourite F1 car.... I don't know if it's beacause of the noise but when i m watching today onboard cam i'm not so stunned like here....it's look like easier and smoother today.

There is another vid from a Ferrari F1 in Laguna seca, amazing as well.

Glorious!

That's what an F1 car should look and sound like!! To hell with the halo, and to hell with the ghastly crap hybid power units.

Just turn off the sound and you will see, that it instantly is less interesting. The sound is super important... Sadly the people who run F1 are ingnorant to that

But maybe we're old school. Maybe younger audience are more into high tech machinery and advance aero. I know these are not mutually exclusive but perhaps the amphasis is on the UI of the broadcast, hence the introduction of music soundtrack rather than listening to raw engine sound.

That is very different from having different sound.

Modern cars are not completely silent (well, except pure electric, but that's not related to F1). They just have a different sound.
We are just simply used to the old sound.

But technology advancement cannot be driven by what sound we want.

Agreed. The Cult was a great band, "Fire Woman" is still an awesome tune. :-)

I want to see the best car build by Ferrari (if not the best F1 car of all times) F2004 with those Hypersoft tyres in Monza. F2004.

Very cool! What's crazy is I am sure a fully prepped F2003GA set up for Road Atlanta and in qual trim would go quite a bit faster too.
