The distance traveled from last week to this week PLUS the amount of tire compounds per driver is NOT the same from last week. Drivers have less compounds this week.

The drivers like it though....1 free practice.

Whether this will be the norm is up to Liberty.

Charles insists 3 practices is important to him. Figuring out the car and he says knowing the track with 3 practices is a great help to him. I also need 3 practices to make it to quali. and the race on Sunday!

i like the 3 practices myself as well, it makes the race weekend more enjoyable with plenty of action....if the Liberty are to cut some of it, i think that ONE practice is not enough......i think TWO would be a good compromise, have one 1.5H on friday and then 1 hour on saturday before Quali should be OK.....i mean it will be the same for all drivers

but who knows how this will develop going into next year and beyond....

That's not his intention.

Diversity is his intention....off the track. Whether it's his social media page, BLM, racial injustice or personal apparel, he's going against the norm of what an F1 driver is expected to do. In this case, everyone on the track walk was in team colored apparel....the kind you can purchase on F1 sites BUT not Lewis.

Is this a result of genuinely abnormal circumstances or was this a decision taken lightly after observing the coincidental 1 practice last time out due to bad weather? That's what I'm saying, it seems like they saw how it panned out in Germany and they've haphazardly decided to implement it, which would be quite reckless in my opinion. Sure if circumstances force you then it's okay, but to change something so fundamental to F1 so casually just because you feel like it is just reckless.

This has to be ALWAYS stated out that from 2014 onward he was driving the car which was out of the league of others by a HUGE margin, and only one time, in 2016, when he had almost real team mate who had the right to fight him, he lost to NR!!!

That loss to NR certainly is far more a clear indication of Lewis' abilities behind the wheel. Even when he reaches 100 wins +, 100 poles+ possibly 10 WDCs. 7 looks like it's done. That loss back then will be what really takes away any credibility. Nico also beat Michael in all 3 of their seasons as team mates. Just like back then that Austria 2002 disgrace that move over or else; showed what was really going on @ Ferrari. GOATS : Senna , Alonso, Nico !

Track temperature 21C, this is not good for our car. Long run pace is too slow, Leclerc (softs) lapping 1-1.3 seconds/lap slower than Gasly on mediums.

Edit: now its 2 seconds. Gasly 1:18.531, Leclerc 1:20.721. This is not normal.

Edit 2: Ignore Gasly. He wasn't on long run.

I believe saying how Merc's car and the team that puts out the car compared to Ferrari's car & team and the others is out of their league by a HUGE margin is really putting our team Ferrari down. Trolling at it's worse. You have your team Merc as unbeatable and keep stressing it . Drivers come and go as we all know. Just look how Seb , finger in the air every R bull win was accepted with open arms by Ferrari and Ferrari fans. He came with 4 WDCs racing against Ferrari. Acknowledging which driver wins a race and who's on the podium is not trolling. Saying Ferrari the team is out of Merc league over and over ,they have the car! That's not what we Ferrari fans want to read on a Ferrari forum . I truly believe Charles and the team are great and in the mix with every other team. I just wish for 3 practices . If the softs are that bad it's probably worth ending up P11 to be able to avoid them in the race and make a one-stopper work. Ending up P11 in Russia salvaged a top-six finish for Charles in the race by avoiding the reds.

Gasly P4 vs Albon P6 on the grid.

Because Gasly is simply better. I'm not sure why people rate Albon high. His career in the junior formula was pretty mediocre, finished P3 in 2018 F2 behind Russell and Norris, while being older and more experienced.

Albon looked competitive against Kvyat, and that's about it.

Plus the lower track temperature which is not good for our car.. From turn 18 to turn 2, it is flat out and the straight is long. Turn 4 to Turn 5 another straight, then few high speed corners and turn 12-14 another straight. Then the right-left chicane followed by another straight.

At Imola, I'd say the engine power is more important than the downforce. That's why Gasly is so close to Max since both cars are running with the same PU.

2020 the year of super high tech. cars. Max nearly lost out of quali. with 8 second left. He had a bad spark plug that had to get changed in a hurry !

I agree that this track doesn't suit our car with its lack of power and the lower temperatures, those Alpha Tauris continue to out-pace us as they have done all season which is embarrassing but that Honda engine is very strong and Gasly is performing on a similar level to Charles. Just hope for the best tomorrow. The circuit looks great as it always does on Italian soil.

If hamilton does not like the track then he should just skip the race and go jewellery shopping he is more than capable of such feats.He can also take that meddling wolf with him when will that guy just learn to mind his own business he is an overated gossip who got lucky with mercedes.Binotto would also be capable of doing what wolf does with a team of that calibre.lets face it they lured top personel from other f1 teams then ambushed f1 into the hybrid era with there idle threats.Go shopping with lewis Toto hand in hand as you plan your next f1 ambush.Oh by the way good luck with that one you are going to need it.

Hopefully the rear suspension overheating problem will be fixed ASAP. That could very well be Seb's car problem. Both our drivers in the top 10 will be a great result from now on. I'm hoping for 3 practices to come back.

I understand and respect that. But we can't avoid talking about other teams and drivers. We do it all the time. Ferrari does not exist in a bubble (except of course when it comes to COVID-19 protocol). We talk about Max, Gasly, Albon, Hamilton, Raikkonen... everyone, including all the teams. You can't call people to order for saying Hamilton is a great driver, nor should they be called LH fanboys for simply acknowledging his skill and achievements. That's just being petty and childish. If it's wrong to acknowledge LH is great, then it must be equally wrong to trash-talk him. Consistency. I for one will gladly stop talking about LH if everyone else does, including those who trash-talk him. Same rules for everyone. But then to be fair we'll have to stop talking about every other non-Ferrari driver, which seem rather bizarre.

I agree that this track doesn't suit our car with its lack of power and the lower temperatures, those Alpha Tauris continue to out-pace us as they have done all season which is embarrassing but that Honda engine is very strong and Gasly is performing on a similar level to Charles. Just hope for the best tomorrow. The circuit looks great as it always does on Italian soil.

But Ferrari were saying this race will serve to confirm whether the upgrades are really working. In that respect, quali was rather disappointing.

He should make it exciting then. I can think of a number of ways for him to do so. For instance, he could take out his teammate in the first corner. It's a little extreme but hey, how badly does he want an exciting race? :-D

My reaction was, why isn’t he saying the same in every race. Most of the races are boring this year for 1-2 positions.
Where they are lap every other car apart 3rd positioned car.
