Horner: This is going to be a very tactical race. It's hotter than yesterday and the cars will be heavier than yesterday. So, it's going to be interesting. The plan today is to make sure [Checo] is ahead of Charles going into Abu Dhabi. Then team orders will come into play.

So we can demand excellence from Charles and Carlos also then.....I will stay a Ferrari fan thanks. You can cheer on Charles while respecting the team will come 1st.
We demand excellence from anybody, that’s why Charles needs to be the priority as he is clearly the faster and better driver. Does he make mistakes? Of course, everyone does, the greatest drivers made mistakes, Schumi, Hamilton, Senna, Alonso, Max. We demand excellence and commitment from anybody. Average performances from strategists, not working developments and new parts, good calls for tyres, these things have to be corrected as soon as possible. It’s not a problem that there are mistakes. It’s a big problem, that they can’t make good decisions nearly every weekend. If you are ok with that, you are not a Ferrari Fan. You can’t win a Championship without being committed, just look at RB. The combination RB/Max is a monster. If you think you can beat such a combination without being as commited, you are lying to yourself.

I will never support any other driver than Ferrari drivers. I didn’t even support Schumi after his comeback, and Schumi is everything for any Ferrari Fan. You should know that, unless you are more of a Fan of spanish drivers or something else. Helmut Marko said that internally they clarified everything and that Max will do everything in Abu Dhabi that Checo gets P2 in the championship. He didn‘t want to say more.
Charles is in P2 level in points with Perez.
Sainz is in P6 … 6 pts behind Hamilton.
If not DNF’s & mistakes.. both would have been P2&P3 … constructors title would have been close with RB.

Charles is our only way for a Championship in the future. We have to be all in, just like RB is all in with Max. After the team screwed him over on many weekends this year, it will be a little boost for him if he finishes 2nd. To be able to beat RB/Max, you have to be as commited as them. This year we were way to weak, not committed and not rutheless enough. We need thia commitment, just like in the past with Jean Todt. He alway did what needed to be done, and we are in 2022 and still aren’t able to do what is necessary after all these years.

People, what are we fighting over? P3 and P4 in the race? Being P2 in the WDC? It's all worthless. P1 is what matters, and we've done everything wrong this season, from in-season development over strategy to driver errors. P2 or P3 in the WDC it really doesn't matter.

That’s not wrong, but you are still a little naive. We are in a budget cap era, differences between cars won’t be as big as in the past. There will be nuances between teams in the future, and to competitive you have to use your resources wisely. Having the fastest car won’t be enough, you have to be on point on everything. RB will use all theirs on Max, if we don’t do the same, we won’t be able to beat them. This isn’t the F1 of the past. We have to adjust asap.

Silverstone yes we messed up but due to SC many others have done the same, Max and Charles would say they got it wrong in Monaco, while Checo and Carlos would say they got it right. Still does not change things really, when you have the faster car then your strategy options are easier.

Also don't forget TD39 which knowing it would hurt us we accepted it gladly without a fight.
We had a very good car until this TD was introduced and everything went down.
I don't believe we lost in the development race, it was this TD which hurt us and brought the Mercs right into the mix.

I've seen the telemetry where Checo in Monaco deliberately crashed in Monaco compared to his previous lap. He gives way more throttle at the Portier turn than in the previous lap causing Checo to spin and crash.

I was quite relieved to get an unexpected P3/4 after Charles had his coming-together with Norris and it was a great recovery drive. Carlos did a great job too, to get that result after all the dramas of earlier in the race and thanks in part to the SC periods, we managed to salvage something. There weren't even any mess-ups in the pits with all those stops. I understand why the team wouldn't let Charles pass Carlos for P3, Alonso and Max were bearing down on them both. As for the Merc 1-2, the TD39 was brought in to help them and no-one else, that was a horror story for me. The drivers all seem totally knackered and now have to face another cross-Continent journey before the last throw of the dice in Abu Dhabi, no wonder they're all getting a bit petulant.

Worry not, it's not just today, Elkaan has been adamant bout who the #1 is. And I am certain that either Binotto will fall in line or he 'll be in for a rather unpleasant surprise (no, he won't be fired, but will get someone next to him, for sure.).

Quite agree, Hornet, although it has been pretty evident these past few races just how frustrated Charles has become after his season disintegrated so spectacularly and they still can't get things right. At least they got him back the race yesterday and what looked like another disaster for him turned into a well-earned P4. So he never gave up.

When Shumy got home @ Merc he went 0 for 3 years! Was it the car? Or lack of Todt , Ross and add Rubens? It's hard to just "Let him pass" with zero wins with his home team. Even 2010 @ Hungary trying to kill Rubens into a concrete wall he still came in behind Rubens at the finish! Like it or not , Sr Lewis letting Russell win his 1st is an honorable way to treat your team mate! Had it been between Max and Russell ; Russell would have been DNF ed !
