The picture is maybe May or possibly into July. Search Korean GP track images.
Wasn't there talk of Magny-Cours replacing Korea if it was not ready in time a couple of months back? I suppose that won't happen now either
Korea will have their GP in time no worries! To much at stake to goof up me thinks... The photo is an old one I'm sure!

It isnt looking good or sounding great by reading the whole article. F1 is up against it out there, F1 is less popular than baseball. Cannt see it happening myself, if it do happen, grandstands will be half empty.

I think the first photo leads you to believe the track isnt that far on - but I think we should be ok...
Things tend to get built/constructed very quickly in the east - china/japan etc so cant see korea being too different.
Yeah Zuludemon I know the eastern way of work very well that is why I said it will be done in my first post. If the only thing that is missing is the asphalt than that is no big deal, but with all the rain recently the work had to suffer. So 2 months till the GP and there is still mud on most of the track you can't just pore asphalt on IMHO...
I still have a little hope, for their sake. If they fail someone will get killed...
Aye, they need to make good progress over the next 2 weeks I would say... else they will be in trouble...

Being an Indian I am so happy that i will finally be able to see the race live....yipeeeeeeeeee.........and hopefully i will meet some of you guys :-D:-D
It's interesting that a country that is getting a lot of help from other countries have the money to build a F1 track and run it. I think it's great for India, I just hope the money is channeled out to the people and not into some massive corporation.Quote:

I'm thinking about going to this race so I called their support centre (go the number from the official circuit web site) English version of official Korean circuit web site
They advised the laying of the asphalt is due for completion on Sept 3rd. All finishing touches (landscape and lighting etc) due for completion by early October.
