i really hope so; i for one can't take another year or red fools dominating
so hopefully Ferrari are confident enough that this is gonna be a Ferrari dominating era as we've had long, long time ago

F14 T is also good very much like the F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. Hopefully the car will travel at supersonic speeds and annihilate the competition!
I hope we don't have an issue with Grumman like we had with Ford if F14 T wins it. Ferrari need to be careful with names here.
McLaren has failed their crash test...I know not directly relevant, but I don't think where flooded with news regarding Ferrari atm!

Reports are suggesting that the McLaren MP4-28, designed by Matt Morris has failed several mandatory FIA crash tests.
The result could mean that McLaren could miss the opening test in Jerez, along with Lotus who have already confirmed they will not be attending the first 2014 Formula one pre-season test.
A delay with the car would also eman that a concept of the car would be revealed at the online launch on 24th January.

In the aftermath of a disastrous 2013 season for McLaren, Ron Dennis has engineered his return to the helm as CEO with the mandate to return the Formula 1 operation to its winning ways. The catalyst for the moves at Woking appear to have arisen after the team’s 2014 car failed the FIA tests which may force the team to miss the first test at Jerez.
Reports in Italy indicate that the MP4-29, designed by Matt Morris, is behind schedule due to failing the mandatory FIA crash tests.
This implies that the online presentation scheduled for 24 January will not feature the complete and ready to test MP4-29, but rather a mock-up of the 2014 car.
McLaren’s response to queries by Grand Prix 247 was: “At this time of the year it’s normal for all teams to be pushing everything to the limit in an effort to extract the most performance, and crash tests are no different. McLaren will pass all the tests prior to track running.”
This could fulfill Lotus Team Principal Eric Boullier’s prediction that his team will not be the only outfit to miss the opening F1 preseason test at Jerez which starts on 28 January.
Meanwhile Team Principal Martin Whitmarsh could exit McLaren in the wake of Dennis’ coup d’etat, while the likes of managing director Jonathan Neale and sporting director Sam Michael could also be heading out the door or face redeployment within the organisation.
Dennis is reportedly seriously courting out of work Ross Brawn to lead the team into the future, which includes a return to Honda power in 2015. Brawn has deep ties with the Japanese motor manufacturer, while McLaren have ambitious plans – which go well beyond Formula 1 – for their reunification with Honda. (GP247)
There is an article in OmniCorse, too: http://www.omnicorse.it/magazine/338...erez-a-rischio

He does have a point, in his typically undramatic way. All of the changes made by the FIA, while they have created huge challenges for the engineers, will have far less impact on the drivers. They still have to get in and drive as fast as they can with the car they are given. Pretty simple really.
BTW, that is a really nice car he's driving.
Wow! Expect Sir Ron to make heads roll. Hiring Brawn sounds like a no brainer. Especially with the Honda connection. In fact, Honda may want that to happen.
In the short run, it will be difficult for Sir Ron to blow it up and put it back together again in time to be a threat in 2014. So, Macca will now focus on 2015 and the MP4-30 - Honda.
trying to not get this thread off topic but I have to add....doesn't Alonso have a major problem with dennis which he reaffirmed last year in an interview saying "he only ever had a problem with one person"
who is no longer their...
slightly off topic i know. but thought you guys would appreciate it...
i was at work today (im a barber) cutting this guys hair who ive known for a while. we get on to the subject of formula 1 and how im a huge ferrari fan and he says to me "my sons father in-law is involved with cars and formula one and stuff, i think hes pretty good".
so i asked him who he works for, and he said ferrari.
then i asked him his name, and he said Rory Byrne!
Made my day!
didnt you give him a free haircut for a meeting with Rory???
I think McLaren should take the 2014 season off and dedicate all their focus on the 2015 car with Honda. It would be stupid and counter productive to spend so much money and hours of research designing the 2014 car with a Mercedes engine when you're going to have a different engine next year that might be different in dimensions. Also, the new Mercedes engine isn't designed for the McLaren chassis. The new Mercedes engine is designed for the Mercedes AMG F1 team's chassis. McLaren should do for 2014 what Brawn did in 2008 = Just put some car on the grid to cruise around in while back at the factory they're designing the 2015 car specifically tailored for the Honda engine to get a jump on everyone else.
cant wait for next weeks release! time for the new year and new championship for forza ferrari! lets go KIMI and Alonso
Well, the Honda engine would have different packaging and cooling requirement though. There are things that they can learn this year, but some important aero parts will probably have to change if their sidepods have to change. Other stuff such as torque mapping and car setup will have to be rework again too.
So assuming reports are true Mclaren have failed crash test, could this be the reason Whitmarsh has been removed from his position (the straw that broke the camel's back) it seems more than one area of the car has failed crash test, which is a serious issue just before the first test or could it mean Mclaren have cutting edge design which has led to this test failure?
OK . Btw I voted for F616.
P.S any one has any idea approximately how much downforce will the cars would be losing due to the removal of the lower beam wing and shorter front wings?
