    F1 2009 for dummies! Help!

Boy or boy, a gal has to take a break from staying up on all things F1 due to fighting this cancer stuff I come back to find my beloved sport has gotten out of whack for me!!?? I am really a bit out of sorts trying to figure out the progression of how we ended up with the some of the new rules, kers , diffusiers (sp) one has to be a frickin engineer to understand everything. All I can tell you is I am not too happy with the way the cars look or sound or especially that Ross Braun, whom I dearly love has once again out smarted the system with his brilliant work, design, technology etc....Do you think this is going to be a good season? Anyone care to give this poor old non-engineer girl a simplified version of what has taken place and is there any hope for Ferrari this year?

Really nice to see you back.

As for the season I am just hoping it will be exciting and painted more often in red than any other colour. I must admit I've been looking forward to this season more than any other due to the radicule changes.

    Some Changes:

Kers - takes wasted brake energy, sent to a generator which produces energy which is stored in a batteries, during the race this energy can give one 6 secs of boost(appro. 80hp)
What really annoys me about the KERS is not all teams will be starting off with it. I feel all should have had KERS on them from race one.

Major issue at present, the diffuser some teams developed one type double, others didn't. This in my eyes at present seems to be the biggest challenge for Ferrari and others. If the diffuser used by Brawn, Williams and Toyota is deemed acceptable, then Ferrari have a lot of work in store.

At the end of qualifying one will know exactly the weight each car qualified in.

Testing is over- only testing from this point on will be on race Friday's.

Tires are slicks and no longer grooved.

Barge boards are gone. front wing is lower to the ground, skinner rear wing.

What has remained the same, Ferrari are still red and Hamilton is still arrogant.

I guess these are the most obvious changes. I am quite sure others will be able elaborate much more successfully then me.

I hope you enjoy the season
