Yeah maybe you are right, maybe I should be a rabid Alonso fanboy, sadly no I don't just see things through blinkers, makes me less of a Ferrari fan to praise clever thinking if that was the case? I doubt it....Alonso fans calling Lewis a rat for doing something Alonso has done himself just really makes me giggle![]()

NobleF1: 5 seconds penalty for all drivers under investigation over SC rule breach - apart from Glock who gets 20 seconds. More soon
not sure that makes sense but oh well
5 seconds? LOL FIA is a joke, so the SC is not needed no more, no reason for it, go as fast as you like
Forza Ferrari
sigh... imo Ferrari had to call both cars in and demonstratively withdraw from the race. They had to do this soon after that farce with Lewis penalty. If they would have done that then even the most casual F1 fans would understand that something went very wrong with F1 today.NobleF1: 5 seconds penalty for all drivers under investigation over SC rule breach - apart from Glock who gets 20 seconds. And yes Greig should withdraw from this forum, I've already got 2 warnings from him for being too passionate about Ferrari...
Errr..... no he isn't, Greig is just keeping a level head and giving a realistic assessment of what happened instead of jumping to a whole bunch of self serving conspiracy theorys.
The timing of all these events are all coincidental, nobody could engineer these in the short times available.
This isn't the first time it has taken a long time to issue a drive through for a pit/safety car incident which as allowed the driver to serve the penalty and maintain position (Rosberg in Singapore is an example), there were no shouts of foul play then.....
Just because of who breached the rules, how and who was effected shouldn't make a difference, but is does appear to be be happening here in this case.
legardj: 5 second penalties given to the 9 SC offenders so Jenson Button keeps third place. Ferrari will be even more angry.
Nope, by your way of thinking, it's clever driving, clearly you make no sense! Make up your mind, if what Lewis did was clever, then what the rest did was too, the penalty just goes to say just that.
Hats off to them, we're the idiots that play by the rules , wouldn't you say ?

Well it was clever if thats what he intended no? he screws over Alonso and gets passed the SC to ruin Alonso's race, the rest did not do the same as Lewis and are clearly different, you will note Vettel was under no investigation, had Lewis timed the SC pass just a fraction better he would have got no investigation either

They are laughing into our faces. What a sad day for the Ferrari team.
Call it what you want, but IMO that video hints that Lewis intentionally controlled his pace as he approached the SC, notice how his pace drops.
He went on to overtake, which means he has no intention to fall behind the SC. It appears that he wanted to ensure only himself get past the SC, and it somehow backfired.
The only reason I can think of for all of this, is he wanted to screw Alonso pit, ensuring Alonso gets stuck behind the SC. Otherwise, why take such a risk when he can clearly past the SC long before that?

I called Lewis black and that stewards are biased, got warning for this. Maybe these two thoughts didn't mix very well in the same sentence but give tifosi a break esp when he's seeing an unfair result! And second warning was cos I downgraded you thread which was made to make fun of some Alonso fan.
So I'm not making things up, I still have emails and your reasoning which I still can't understand.
5 seconds penalties?? wth whats the point of the safety car rules...Ferrari should withdraw from the remaining races as a protest. Lets see how they try to get the F1 show going with no Ferrari in it.

5 sec. did they just made that up as they went for a punishment?
I can't wait for Luca Di Montezemolo's reaction this time

5 seconds as a penalty?....Shocking
