    Weather forecast for the weekend

    Forecast Summary:

    (PPN = Precipitation)

Emphasis: Wet running expected at times, Fri-Sat. Wettest conditions will be Thursday PM. Showers expected Friday, becoming frequent & heavier later; also further patchy spells of rain / showers on Saturday to give damp conditions at times. The race is expected to be dry or largely so with a small chance of afternoon showers.

Friday: Variable cloud cover, with showers at times, becoming more frequent, heavier and possibly thundery into the afternoon, evening and overnight. Best chance of dry running is for FP1. Chance of PPN 80%. Max 24C. Wind light WNW.

Saturday: Variable (and at times rather extensive) cloud cover, with showers or spells of intermittent light rain likely at times albeit less prospect of extensively wet conditions compared to Friday. Chance of PPN 50%. Max 23C. Wind light NW.

Sunday: Variable cloud cover, with some sunny spells and convective cloud building during the afternoon. Low chance of afternoon showers, but on balance dry conditions are expected for the race. Chance of PPN 30%. Max 23C. Wind light NNW.

Uh, is raining right now, that's not good for us. We need a dry track to test everything properly.

Rosberg goes fastest with a 1:30.864, a dryish line is starting to appear but it is still very wet out there, especially off line.

Felipe Massa edges to within a fraction of the benchmark time with a lap of 1m30.894s.

Spin for Felipe. Just shows how easily the car can get away from you. Small bump and bang!

Felipe Massa has a wild spin in his Ferrari after clipping the painted kerb at Turn 3. The Brazilian resumes without damage.

Massa has a huge 360 degree spin coming out of turn three. He stamped on the throttle coming onto the straight and the car stepped out on him very violently. No damage to the car but a little reminder of how tricky the conditions are at the moment.

And another off for Massa, this time through the gravel and nearly creaming the wall. Yikes.

Kubica is off the track in the gravel in the stadium section, he just ran wide into the banked turn 13. And Massa has a copycat accident at the same point. No damage to the cars.

Button saying the balance is awful. Understeer into most Apex's but generally its 'very pointy'.

Glad to hear the McLaren is working well

Button improves to 14th but reports "terrible" rear stability, which will be a worry for the team as it evaluates the new diffuser.
