Did anyone inform Massa this is F1 not a drift competition series?

Loads of spins, followed by a lap to put him P3. Very weird! Looks like he nearly lost it on his quick lap as well.
Despite his problems, Massa is now third fastest and 0.275 off Sutil's pace. Buemi is second fastest, 0.268 off Sutil.

Isn't that what driving to the limits is all about in FP?

Massa goes P1 by 6 tenths of a second. Nice lap.

What a crap. When Fernando is faster than his team-mate what should he do, lift the throttle not to 'wear anyone down'? Good grief....

they lose it once they hit the paint most times, so i am just thinking a fresh coat means smoother curbs, add the rain and its a whole lot of slippery fun for the viewers not the mechanics and drivers though

Yea, definitely. Just amazes me where he suddenly finds the speed from.

Webber has dry tyres on his car in the garage but is debating whether to head out on track.

Vettel is heading out on inters. Petrov sets the second fastest lap on inters.

1022: It has been an encouraging session for Rosberg and the German sets the fastest time so far of 1:27.448. I've just been reminded that he was called 'Prince of Practice' last season. Which is nice. Don't go anywhere, up pops Massa with a 1:26.850. BBC pit-lane reporter Ted Kravitz says that Webber now has dry tyres on his car.

    Sutil now P1. Pretty epic.

Here goes Vettel, onto a new lap. Will be quick I'm sure.

Apparently when Alonso did it in Monaco's FP3 his mistake wasn't that kindly considered .

Vettel just over 3 tenths down on Sutil after S2, but abandons the lap after getting held up behind one of the Lotus'.

Schumi out them on full wets.

Chandhok, fountain of knowledge, reckons he's out scrubbing them in.

BBC pit-lane reporter Ted Kravitz: "I've just spoken to Mercedes GP boss Ross Brawn about the reasoning in sending Michael Schumacher out on full wets at the end of that session, and he told me that they've actually got a problem with their new rear wing so, while they're sorting that out, they simply did not want to use another set of tyres."
