Nick Heidfeld to replace Pedro De La Rosa in Singapore F1

Just read this article on F1SA
    http://www.f1sa.com/index.php?option...:f1&Itemid=157

and was pretty surprised since there is also an interview by Nick Heidfeld on the F1 site
    http://www.formula1.com/news/intervi...0/9/11256.html

How credible do you think the article is??

    Also read this:

Rumors: Pedro for Pirelli tester ... he says the team has not said anything.

I hope this doesn't happen, he had very bad luck this year.

I hope it's true as well; even better if it helps him get a race seat for 2011.

Lovely to see Nick back in F1. Not sure why this news has attracted so many negative comments. Nick can race with the best of them.

Pedro seems like a nice guy, but he's a moving chicane at this point.

I'm sorry for Pedro who is a great guy, but also glad for Nick, let's see how he fares compared with his predecessor and his rookie teammate.

Negative comments? There are suddenly Heidfeld- fans popping up everywhere, don't even know where they were when he was still driving! But thats the forums- always root for the underdogs.

I think maybe people just appreciate the fact that Nick should really be in F1 this year, considering he's a better driver than some of the people who got seats for this season.

While i can admit this to be true, most of the time Heidfeld was a track obstacle. Always in the way of the faster drivers not getting anywhere but ruining others races. Oh well- if it happens it happens, but no way i'm going to feel anything positive about it.

I wonder if Nick would be handy to have at Sauber given that he's tested the new tyres and we provide Sauber with engines

De la Rosa is one of the few true gentlemen in the paddock. Whatever happens, he deserves credit for giving up a very profitable position as test driver at McLaren for the joy to race in F1. A pity he has been plagued by bad luck this year - I will miss him, and I wish him the best of luck in the future if he is to be replaced.

well they do say that Pedro is one The Best Test drivers in world and in terms of F1 thats prob his best place as a Test driver and Not a Racer. Hes another Luca B.( for Ferrari Great test driver but lack "it" as a race driver in F1 ).

I would rather see him replacing Kobayashi, oh well I'm glad that hes coming back.
