Have Red Bull's wings suffered the fate of Icarus

One race does not make a season, but with the flexi-wing (that Horner said didn't flex) no longer flexing on video, RB were off the pace.

Their development has been meteoric, but have they peaked with these new scruitneering tests on the front wing?

The good news is we appear to be unaffected

This was what I was hoping for. They had a to use a T bar to keep the floor from flexing. So...

I saw the wing flexing through some of the corners, I was watching the deflection during Friday Practice. Still goes down a fair amount when under load.

I'm sure they adapted some things, despite what they say, but it's still flexing without a doubt. As is Ferrari's. I think you'll probably see it more when there are corners with a lot of lateral load. It was pretty visible in the heavy braking zones for Turn 1 and De La Roggia.

we can't say much until we see the upcoming races, it was already expected that RB would not be strong at monza ... but we will see in singapoure i want to see a battle with Ferrari and Red bull for the next coming races...

The last two tracks haven't been very typical. Wait till Singapore to see if they've lost speed.

What I found most interesting on this flexi wing thing was the FiA Friday press conference. Basically it was all the propeller-heads (engineers) there. While they were talking about the flexi wing and tests, Aldo Costa and Adrian Newey announced that at a recent working group meeting we suggested reducing the allowed flex limit from 10mm to 5mm in addition to the change in the reference point. Guess who didn't agree - Paddy Lowe - McLaren.

Amm,I wouldn't get too carried away by what happened yerterday. This track layout simply doesn't suit Red Bull's car [Renault engine = less power].Singapur will be an entirely different race, and I'd expect RB performing as usual.

It seems that RBR failed an unofficial test on Friday... And were making modifications on Friday night, it surely must have affected them.

... it has emerged that, prior to the official tests, Red Bull and McLaren, who both admitted to making modifications before traveling to Monza, asked to use the FIA's new testing equipment and methods in the scrutineering bays.

McLaren's MP4-25 passed, but Red Bull's car failed by a small margin, according to the BBC.

The team reportedly made overnight modifications, and after Mark Webber qualified fourth on Sunday, the RB6 was re-tested and officially passed the new tests.

this sounds good and dandy in our favor, and it would be nice if these LAST MINUTE modifications INDEED affected Red Bull's pace, but i guess the only way to figure out the real truth would be in 2 weeks time in Singapore QUALY

hopefully between that and our upgrades we'll come out on top, although i'm still a little skeptical and cautious...

same here mate, was watching every on board with eagles eyes, and yes they are still flexing. They said they wouldnt be that strong at monza, as they got alot of downforce on that car already, they find it hard to get enough off to be up at front, as we saw monza and cananda.
