for heaven's sake- since we got the problems sorted after the first 2-3 races we have been totally reliable engine-wise. I don't think we have anything to worry about. I seriously think the red Fools have more problems to worry about on that score than we do. They suffered from overheating in Brazil already so what is AD going to do for them?

We have a show called Absolute F1 on Satellite every Wednesday before a race and last night they said that Fernado will be using the Bahrain engine which only has 600Km on it meaning he can gun it the entire race. I doubt they would have mentioned it if it wasn't fact....well I hope so anyway![]()
"Aerodynamics is for those who cannot manufacture good engines."
I think it's all pure speculation, 'cause Marc Gene said that Ferrari usually don't reveal which motors are using (I guess it's all part of the strategy). Anyway, it makes sense if they use that engine, but as siberianlady said, I think we should not worry about engine reliability and that's more a Red Bull issue.
We can never say for sure what happens when it comes to a F1 car. And statistic means nothing. Vettel engine blew up on a cold wet rainy day, something hardly anyone would expect but it happens anyway.
The concern among Ferrari's fan is as valid as the concern Red Bull fans would have.
Nothing is written in the stones yet. We can only pray hard that luck is on our side this time![]()
Well the most consistent all year has been Webber- only 2 races with 0 points and one of those he chucked away himself- so he'll either win or is due for a blow up...............

One was the Koera thingy and second was when he flew over that Lotus.
Relax, take it easy, drink something bubbling. whatever happens on sunday, we have plenty of reasons to celebrate anyway, because Fernando gave Red Bull major headache and a good fight for the title
not gonna change my profile picture
As mentioned in my previous post....it definitely looks like we using the Bahrain engine for this race as it's the only engine with the least mileage.Q: To the remaining four title contenders. If I might ask your engine position as, of course, one or two of you have had engine problems in the last couple of races. Have you got one engine to use for the whole weekend or are you going to be chopping and changing? Lewis, what is the situation?
LH: We are in quite a strong position with engines. Mercedes have done a great job. We have worked very hard over the last few years with the engines, so we have been very, very fortunate this year. The reliability has been fantastic. Hopefully that will continue this weekend. We have got quite a fresh engine that hasn't done many miles, so hopefully in a slightly better position than the guys in front.
SV: We have a Friday engine and spares if something goes wrong. Then for the weekend we have the one that was in the car in Suzuka for one race, so it should be fine but probably a bit similar to Fernando if something goes wrong it is not looking too good.
FA: We have one of the eight engines on Friday and one for Saturday and Sunday.
Q: So it has still got some mileage?
FA: Plenty.![]()

I also thought the Bahrain engine will be used but have just heard that, that engine expired in China???
Yes we blew that engine in FP at China, we are using the Monza and Brazil engine according to BBC.
Forza Ferrari
Thanks for the heads up, was wondering if Ferrari were giving out false info on the engines they will be using this weekend to snowball the opposition, what is the logic behind the Monza and Brazil engine, isn't there another one with less mileage lying around somewhere?
Alonso did 5 races on the same engine. Now he is on the fresher engine from what I read in one tweet.
4 down, 3 to go! Forza Sebastian!
We can be sure of one thing. No-one outside the absolute inner sanctum is going to know what engine they will use, where it was used before and how much it has been used.
well monza and brazil are supposed to be harder on engines than any other race.. and to stress an already stressed engine in race number 3 that happens to be the race that we need to push the hardest makes me nervous
