    Question Forza Felipe....

Maybe we should all remember Kimi's last 2 seasons before we start sticking the boot into Felipe? He has not had a great season no doubt about it, but I would hope instead of twisting the knife into him then we can at least show some support to a guy who has given nothing but 100% to Ferrari in his time with us.

I hope to see the real Felipe back for Korea and the rest of the season, as we all know this season is not a true reflection on his ability. Negativity is not welcome in this thread, and neither is there any need for Alonso to be brought into it....

I'm already on record a few times with very much the same sentiment, so this will suffice....

It's pretty clear from his own statements that he has struggled horrendously with the tyres this year which has adversely affected his qualifying, and its not the first time that has happened to a driver in F1. Forza Felipe and looking forward to better times

Nice post Greig. Agree with everything. All we have to do is look at 2008 and how he would have won the title had it not been for the team, the engine and Piquet letting him down.

Massa's got a case of Schumacheritis this year. Neither like the tyres and it's affecting their performances. Lets wait to see how strong he is in 2011 and hope he can show some good form for the final three races of 2010.

Good drivers can adapt to tire changes, so not a valid excuse in my view.

    What?

MS was not good in 2005?

You realise how important the tyres are?

Anyway this thread was not created for negativity, if you have nothing supportive to add then find another thread to repeat your bashing

I agree with Greig and will continue to offer my support to Felipe.

Like all Ferrari fans we are grateful for him keeping up the face of Ferrari during those Kimi years, and saddened that a friend of Ramilton allowed him to steal the WDC in 2008.

He deserves all the support we can give :)

Felipe is an excellent driver and team player. He just has a few small issues and is probably feeling bad that he is not performing the way he should be. Felipe is a Ferrari man and it will be great when he comes good and can be challenging near the front with our other driver.

Agreed with most of the things posted, nothing to add there. Ferrari admitted we are having problems with our tires too. Luck hasn't been on Felipe side either lately.

I think we'll see Felipe back in form by next season. And if Ferrari can get the car right next year, as a team we will be unstoppable.

I am sure Massa is pretty self critical.
Great thread Greg hopefully it will put to bed all of the negativity we have seen over the last couple of weeks.
    Onwards and upwards. Forza Felipe

Many drivers have periods where they aren't at 100% when adapting to new cars and regulations, or if the car just doesn't suit their style. He is one of the best drivers in the world, so if he and others like him can't adapt, it can't be easy.
If Montezemolo decides this was an off year and trusts him to deliver in 2011 we'll know for sure his claims were legitimate, as expected.

    Caro Felipe ......

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the revs are low and the temperatures are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is weird with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
    When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow,
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
    It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit."

Of course he will be back, hopefully in Korea it's hotter and he does a great job with the option tyres in Q3. If he starts at the front of the grid he won't have so many problems in the race. He can drive and next year he'll show it with the new Pirelli tyres, this year we've seen the option tyre lasting a whole race, that's not a tyre of rubber it's a cold stone. I hope the compound for Korea is the supersoft.

Always loved this man. Ferrari through and through.

I don't know, but i think he has only ever raced with the Ferrari engine in his entire career.

Any ideas for a Felipe chant?

I've got one for Fernie (Alonso) and a simple Kimi RAAAAAAAIIIIIIKOOOOONEN in 07-09.

    Would be appreciated.

It's been one of those years for Felipe where things just don't go right. I have no doubt he will battle back next year and return to form.
