Michael Schumacher - the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be!
Fernando Alonso says the priority for the Korean Grand Prix is to finish the race to make sure his title chances remain alive. The Spanish driver qualified in third position behind the two Red Bull drivers, and although he concedes his chances for the race are looking good, Alonso said it is vital not to fail to score. Alonso is 14 points behind Mark Webber with three races remaining.
The Ferrari driver, who was pleased with his qualifying effort, said the possibility of rain on Sunday was still a big question mark.
"We need to see the forecast," he said. "There are still some doubts about the rain possibility, especially in the morning. "We need to be calm and finish the race. Maybe tomorrow all five finish the race. We cannot be one of those who does not finish. We need to keep scoring points in every race, and I am sure with that we will be very happy with that."
He added: "I think for us it was a nice qualifying, a nice smooth qualifying. We were a little bit quicker and found some pace with the Primes. The car was again very, very quick. "And again, once more it is our maximum potential today, which in a way is very good new because qualifying is not our strongest point of the weekend and here it looks close to RBR, so it looks good for tomorrow."
Alonso reckons overtaking the Red Bull duo remains a possibility given the nature of the circuit.
"We have to see," he said. "There are some circuits where you see some good overtaking points, and you see races where it can be difficult or there is no overtaking at all. "Then there are some circuits where you see no real possibilities, like Suzuka 2005/2006 or the last race like Kobayashi. There are two or three opportunities for overtaking here."

Forza Ferrari
Kubica in an interview said:
"This morning, in the dry, there was a huge difference between the two sides"
So that could be quite good for Fernando and keep that hamster behide him.
Alonso's title challenge could be all about a good start tomorrow, hopefully he gets it right, he really needs to outscore Webber and Vettel this weekend to have a real good chance IMO.
Forza Ferrari
This could make for a dam good start and race tomorrow.
Alonso on the clean side, Webbo and Hammy on the dirty side and every chance of Fernando overtaking Vettel before sector 2 as we seem to be at least 3 tenths faster thru sector 1 than the Bulls. But in order to get this right Alonso needs to have a perfect start and we know Webbo battles with starts most days and hopefully it will be the same tomorrow....oh and Hammy and Felipe get past Webbo at the start as well.
This would be a dream start for me anyways...

Stewards have just ruled on Rosberg's block on Alonso this morning. They've let him off without punishment - James Allen

Webber was lost for words when asked about starting on the dirty side. Fantastic effort by Ferrari so far. Now just need to finish it off good. I reckon Lewis will be a thread at the start. Hopefully Webber holds him off while Alonso takes care of Vettle
. Like Alonso said, finishing the race is paramount.
Sure, why should they do something, its only Fernando. Always the same.
Fernando had all reasons to be angry he almost crashed into Rosberg, it looked less dangerous on video than it actually was.
So behind the RBs again? What else is new.....
Heavy rain predicted for tomorrow morning. The track could be very damp/wet and slippery come the race...
in this conditions i think hamilton would've an advantage firstable cause i remeber him to be very good on intermediate conditions and second because he will take in tha rain much risk than the top 3 drivers, he has less to lose.
Alonso needs a perfect start and a very good 1st lap. Then anything can happen during the race.
Please, please...![]()
hope hami takes out web...I would think he is still seething from webbers destructive influence on his car from a few races back.
as long as alonso finishes in front of webber he still has a shot.
but we have to find the pace to beat them..
we're number one
Damn I was sure Alonso had pole.. Rain is a major worry for me though.. It s too much of a lottery and at this stage if it goes against us the year will be over prematurely.. Here s hopin...![]()
Its raining at the track.![]()
Forever Ferrari
my prediction is that Vettel will be too focused of keeping Webber behind him at the start and Alonso will manage to sneak past. We have already seen a similar start this year if I recall correctly.![]()
Hopefully the track will be dry for the race...![]()
Damp or rainy start - anything can happen. I'm hoping it will dry up before the start, but doesn't look good.
"This is ridiculous!" Fernando Alonso, Hockenheim, 2010.

"I don't want to be treated as special because I'm not. I just drive a racing car round in circles a bit faster than everyone else." Michael Schumacher
raining hard,
i watched the re-run show earlier, i had to work and missed it live, at the end when see vettel getting weighed, he ran (walked quickly very urgently) up to Rubens and seem to apologise to him alot. Anyone know why? did he block him or hold him up???
CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
So much for the "clean side" advantage then.
Why am I gettin a very bad feelin for tomorrows race...![]()
