At this point I'd like to thank Red Bull for being so stupid.

Don't play dumb with me. I'm better at it than you are.

Yeah but they aren't gonna repeat themselfs in Abu Dabi, Alonso needs a superb car and I'm doubting now he can clinch it.

vettel is clearly the faster of the 2 by a long shot.. imo.. alonso is faster than massa and so to prevent a race incident ferrari engineered the pass.

however in the bulls case letting webber through would be plain old sacrilege.. vettel is miles ahead of webber

I still think Webber is WC favourate. He just needs to lead home a redbull 1-2 next weekend. If he is second vettel will let him past. Alonso has to take things into his own hands, a second gives him the wdc. Not easy..

A Red Bull 1-2 means they're due a brain fade, crash or car failure next weekend. I think we'll snatch it.

I think we can be happy enough with this result, but it's going to be very tough to win the championship. If the result is the same next weekend Vettel will let Webber past. Will Alonso be able to get second in Abu Dhabi?

Oh well, a little disappointed as this was suppose to be where we do well.

Still, this was the best possible outcome given the circumstances. I'd say luck wasn't on our side again.

I think Alonso had a chance at Webber had there not be the huge chunk of backmarkers in between them. Shame really. They should had allow the back markers to un-lap themself and get the bloody hell out of the way. I was just screaming at them to get out of the way, get out of the way! There was even one idiot who took a his own sweet time before letting Alonso through

Bad luck for Felipe as well.

    Minor engine problems for Webber.

Whatever happens next week, our team has done a great job, especially in the second half of the season.

Even if we win WDC I won't be very happy cos darn Massa has been slacking pretty much all this season.

lol no way. Even with new tyres he couldn't match Alonso pace. Face it, that guy is awful.

What did Marko just say? 'We want to stick to our philosophy- no team orders' and then, after 10 minutes of drivel: 'of course, had Fernando led the race and Vettel would have been behind him and Webber third, we would probably have thought *rest going under in some mumbling*'

Being a real team has put Ferrari +21 on RB for the WDC as far as I'm concerned.
    Germany Ferrari +7
    Japan RB -7
    Brazil RB -7

Red Bull just shot themselves in the foot.

The title is Alonso's now, without a doubt, should he thank them afterwards? ;)

    oh and Massa.. ??

Title is Alonso's? Anything can happen.

Horner on the BBC again He effectively confirms he will make the switch next week if needed.

    Yes.
You have to feel for him cos hes a great guy, but the team needs a good second driver.
    Time to step aside.

my point is that knowing hamilton, he would have attepted to pass Fernando with his fresh tyres if backmarkers wouldn't have been in between them. massa and others held him good behind. i believe hamiltons laptimes were good enough to try a move, if the gap wasn't that big

In redbull's defense... If Fernando and Felipe had the same points as webber and vettel has at this point of the championship, i think ferrari would not be giving team orders either, the reason they did it as early as germany was because felipe was so clearly way behind and without any real shots, it's not like vettel has ever been that distant from webber.

So although we are laughing at them for not giving team orders today for instance, this is the domenicalli era in ferrari and not todt, i'm not sure ferrari would be playing favourites if both drivers were neck to neck at ferrari. at least that's what domenicalli and ferrari always made clear, that both drivers would have their shots.

The only question i have about redbull's policy is that, if vettel was the one leading and not webber, i think they would have sacrificed webber by now, and i think webber knows this, and that was pretty clear from when they updated vettel's car but not webber.

he art isn't in never falling but in always getting up.
