The first year of Fernando Alonso as a Ferraridriver has gone.
As a die-hard Alonso fan I want to thank the team for the great support Alonso received during this first season. From day one on they made Fernando feel at home and the whole season the team has worked as hard as they could to give him a good car.
I also thank Felipe Massa for being such a great teammate. It is good to see how well they get along and it was also great how Felipe made it clear after his chances for the title had gone that he would support Fernando. Felipe is a great character who also truely deserves a world championship!
Finally I like to thank the Ferrarifans for the way they stood behind Fernando - who had been their opponent for years.
This has been a great season. We have had ups and downs, Fernando has made his mistakes, the team has made its mistakes, but they always stood together.
We almost made it. Even with the big disappointment the drivers and the team still stand together.
Together they fought and together they lost.
In some other threads in this forum people are blaming and bashing and whatever.
Don't do that. Ferrari and her drivers have shown us a fantastic season. The championship will come, no doubt.
I have always been an Alonsofan. Today Ferrari lost the driver-title. This year they won a fan: Alonsomaniac.
Next season Fernando, Felipe and Ferrari will be back. Stronger and faster!

I posted this in another thread but it seems to fit in here with the thank you's!

Well done Ferrari and Fernando, you never gave up on your championship hopes. Even when behind Petrov, Alonso never gave up, you could tell he was trying so so hard. All things considered a positive year and a fantastic second half of the season.

It was my first year as a Ferrari supporter too, I have to admit I came over to you guys with Alonso but I have seen the light. Thanks for making me so welcome here, I have really enjoyed the season and sharing it with you guys. We will get them next year!

Our team and both of our drivers know what it's like to have a Championship slip out of their grasps at the last moment. This will make it all the more sweeter when it's ours again.

I'd like to say thank you to the team and to our drivers for giving their all, with passion and determination. That's why we are fans in the first place, because it means a lot to us.

The haters and the others can do what they like because we'll still be here when they have all moved on to something else. So will Ferrari

I also joined this site with some trepidation last March but I return to it over and over again, just to feel I'm amongst friends, especially when things are getting a bit rough for the team.
I've become very fond of many of the team, most of whom I didn't know before, and my respect for them has grown over the season. Everyone has worked so hard to get to this stunning climax, which sadly didn't go our way (I say 'our' now!) but I really believe that together Ferrari has a another great chapter coming up in its long F1 story. It really hurt looking at the dismay and anguish on the faces of the team on Sunday, they were exhausted, so I wish them all a good rest, a bit of a holiday and look forward to meeting up in a few months' time to support all their efforts again. Can't promise I'll never complain again - that's what fans do too - but I hope it will be from the stand-point of a 'family' member now.

I am also now totally committed to this fantastic team and look forward to 2011- we gonna blow them away!
And- I'll be a Ferrari fan in the future even after Alonso has gone.
