One "benefit" of this system - there's no need for the newly reinstated team orders

Oh, I never thought about that, but you are right, this could happen. This means the drivers will have to be VERY clever and count the laps to make sure it´s their own turn to overtake in the last lap. Oh dear FIA, where do you bring F1 to......

wonder where the "straight" where you can use the rear wing advantage is at Monaco? i'd like to see it at the tunnel section rather than the "start-finish" section

are these adjustable wings going to make it than much easier to overtake or is this all speculation? I guess I wont know till I see it but I dont think it would be that easier.

either way lets hope we built a car that can get our drivers sipping a cofee and and icecream before the next best team finishes.

what i don't understand is how they came up with this...
if getting close to the car in front of you takes away a lot of the front wing's effectiveness, doesn't lowering down force from the rear wing make the car a missile on wheels?
i am not trying to be funny here, i really wonder how this should work and don't know the first thing about aerodynamics.

How do the 2 lines at the corner preceding the passing straight work? (Sections of) Leading car and trailing car must be within the lines?

Well for example, the front of both cars would be touching the line, or the rear of both or the centre of both. As long as the car behind is touching the line (or past it) when the driver infront is touching it then he is within 1 second

Thanks, mate. I suppose the distance between these lines won't be a constant, no? Corner entry speed has to be factor, right?

I think this "lines thing" just show how half-arsed this implementation and idea is. Is it going to be measured by time, or, is it going to be measured in distance? At least make up your mind on one or the other. If they are going to change it to a distance, and its measured at a corner then you are giving an advantage to cars that corner faster.
