Not sure why you assume that my attitude towards it has changed because of that though.

I got over Indy 05 ok but that still remains a farce

I could swear the topic of conversation veers off onto something completely off topic every time you post something Stu!

You just need more time I guess. I hope for your health's sake we don't exercise team orders again this year

Apart from deaths and accidents I was left gutted after Monza '06, Brazil '08 (I was actually jumping round the room celebrating Massa as WDC ) and Abu Dhabi '10.

I was fairly gutted after Australia '09 when it was confirmed that Alonso/Hamilton/Massa/Raikkonen had rubbish cars!

More time for what? All I was asking is why you were picking on my statement and insinuating that I have/had some sort of issue that I shouldn't. We covered all of that back then so why pick on it again now when it wasn't even a topic of debate? Just unsure why really!

I certainly hope that if we do exercise TO's this year we do it in a less painful and self destructive way. That would be cool

    I totally agree with you!!
My worst moment was when Ferrari "allowed" Kimi to go!!
(I still contend Massa should have been the one to leave!!
I'll apologize in advance to Massa fans, but that's "my" opinion!!)
It's right up there with hearing that Schumi wasn't going to
come back to "replace" Massa after his accident!!

So you like team orders? Chill man, from now on it will be only for needed points, not just for favoritism.

This will probably not go over well with Massa fans; but, I'd like to go on record with my own opinion.
First of all, we all recognize the fact that no driver can win the WDC without a team behind him!

Having said that, I believe that Massa and Smedley did not act in the best interests of the team with
that entire fiasco this past summer! In fact, I'd go so far as to suggest they embarrassed Ferrari with
their "Lone Ranger" act, effectively biting the hand that feeds them! It was unnecessary for Smedley
to be so blatantly obvious in relaying the message to Massa; nor was it necessary for Massa to slow
down so obviously, in letting Alonso past. In retrospect, considering how the season almost went, it
seems to me that Ferrari made the best decision it could have, at that point in the season.

I realize it would have been a lovely, fairy tale moment if Massa had taken the win on the anniversary
of his horrendous accident! I "get" that it would have made for "great" TV! But, let's face it, Massa
must have known when Ferrari signed Alonso that he'd have to perform as well as, if not better than,
his new teammate!! Besides, if I'm not mistaken, this was not the first "supporting role" Massa had!

This topic has been done to death, tbh. Everyone just has to learn to agree to disagree on the issue methinks.

Thanks for the heads up, Suzie! Though I'm new to this forum
and should probably have taken a look before I posted.

To get over it. Groundhog day. You brought the subject as one of your worst ever moments and I merely suggested that you were much more vitriolic at the time than your description in this thread. Less painful and self destructive..... Unfortunately there is always going to be bad feeling when team orders are exercised so not really sure how you make it less painful for the driver who is forsaken. Perhaps a magnum icecream might help to sweeten the pain?

I wouldn't suggest getting into one of these discussions with Stu, it'll simply never end. Don't particularly want another complete derailment like the Kubica thread - over 120 posts between them!

It's cool. I just dont see why you had to mention it given the fact that it wasnt relevant to my post. Also, i wasn't referring to "painful" from the drivers point of view specifically.

My buddys just being the polite guy that he is. Apologize for what? We were talking about who should get Roberto's seat. It should be Bruno, I'm sure you agree. Meanwhile Roberto's comming along real good, who knows maybe this year?

Yes, for about 2 posts you were talking about that. Take for example:

As usual you is correct! Never say argument! Anyway getting you to say anything without adding the chin's name like y'all just did is for sure a challenge. He's not with us anymore, get over it! Correct again, you are. Getting you to stop lovin that traitor is pointless. Start showing a liitle love for Alonso will ya. He's our guy now.
Which has nothing to do with Kubica's seat at Renault. There is no person called Roberto, so have some respect and start calling him by his proper name - as well as all the other people you don't seem able to name properly.

Don't try and start me off like you start Stu off either. Everyone who knows a little bit about F1 thinks Bruno shouldn't have gotten the seat.

I wouldn't think of trying to get you to give an opinion on Bruno getting Roberto's seat. That discussions between me and a friend .

I think Stu has told you about 10 times but you need to reply outside of the final [/QUOTE] tag so people can actually see your response. Again, his name isn't Roberto. It's Robert. You class Stu as a friend? I dread to think what you're actual friends are like.

....and I wouldn't want that it a thread

    Hungary '08 was bad too.

Is there any need to be sarcastic? I only said what I did because a lot of threads have been totally derailed by these off-topic discussions you keep having with brembo man. I'm sure people don't want to have to filter through hundreds of posts to get to the responses directed at the subject of the thread.

I'm guilty too this morning however.

Sorry Ste . I explained about regretting the off-topic element and it is duly noted. Your non-moderator policing of threads is in the interests of the forum I know but you just came across a little patronising in the quotes I used which I regret reacting to now as i'm sure you didn't mean to be.

Shall we move on now mate in case we are accused of continuing the hijack trend?
