    Shanghai next?

I just read on the FOFA Facebook page that Shanghai might be the next GP under threat from local unrest.

OMG maybe so many venues, that were previously unchartered territory for F1, may not be such a good idea Bernie. Maybe it's time he moved over and let someone else in.

You can correct me if I am wrong but I thought Bernie had the commercial rights of F1 management and he is the man behind the additional venues.
Anyway I see he's only hours away from cancelling the race in Bahrain.

So maybe he has been vindicated.

Yes he does but how do these events become his fault? Maybe he should have no races just in case?

I don't really see how Bernie can help protests in various countries.

It's not at all his fault.

I agree there's nothing Ecclestone can do about the protests, but given the circumstances maybe it's time to rethink F1 expansion plans.

Yep. That's what I was thinking of, not only USA. I think Argentina could be a peaceful place for a GP. America should hold up to 6 GP (Canada, Brazil, 2 USA, Argentina, ???), but at least 4 every season.

    +1 to that

Even if I live in Asia, I'd take Imola GP over Shanghai anyday..
