Although Fernando Alonso believes Red Bull's RB7 is the car to beat, Jenson Button reckons Ferrari's F150th Italia has a two-second advantage on long runs.
As pre-season testing continues at Barcelona, everyone has an opinion about what is going on out on track, although no one is absolutely sure.
With Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel quickest on Friday by over a second and then again on Saturday, Alonso believes the Bull's RB7 is the car to beat.
"I still believe that, at the moment, the Red Bull is the strongest car," said the Spaniard.
"We all know that Red Bull should be ahead of everybody. So we expect Red Bull to be very competitive."
However, Button has a different opinion to the Ferrari driver.
"Do you really think the Ferrari is six tenths slower than the Red Bull?" he told the BBC in reference to Saturday's timesheets when Vettel was 0.663s up on Alonso.
"And the Ferrari on the long runs seem to be two seconds quicker than everyone else."
But, having said that, the 2009 World Champion concedes that with teams running different tyres, different fuel loads and different programmes, it's near to impossible to say for sure who is actually on top.
"There are so many things going on and in testing it's so difficult to get an understanding anyway," the McLaren driver said.
"The soft compared to the hard tyre is one and a half seconds quicker and if someone has the super-soft here it's another second.
"So it's very difficult to know the pace of people and what they're doing.
"What is interesting is people's consistency - that's when you can really see if they have a good car.
"Ferrari does look competitive in terms of consistency but so do a lot of others and the Red Bull looks pretty good but not as good as the Ferrari."
