I never said anything otherwise, all I said is that the race at Bahrain should be run at some point

It's just a shame some can't actually read

I don't think the Brazilian G P date should be altered. The fact that is the last race of the season and on a testing circuit is what makes it exciting, by the same standard the fact that Barhrain is the first race tends to make it seem boring because everything is new and untried in race conditions and the drivers tend to feel their way. If the worst comes to be I'm sure Bernie can "negotiate" with the rebels

Yeah it should be run, I agree. Just hope it's slotted in between Abu Dhabi and Brazil.

It would be great if the actual Bahrain GP can't be possible.

    a) Bahrain, will be the "old track" (without the terrible middle sector they had last year)...

    b) Bahrain always suited Ferrari and

    c) Massa is good in this track...

Can't see any reason not to have Bahrain...
I don't care where they will fit it, as long as Brazil is the last one :)

Bahrain is so bloody boring... last year FOTA started going into crisis mode that the rest of the season would be like this due to rule changes.. then we had Melbourne and it was a good show... BOO FOR BAHRAIN!

It can be as boring as any other venue.

You only have a few really exciting tracks these days.

Nice, I love that track, the elevation changes are simply spectacular and it has a nice blend of slow and fast speed corners.... love it!

    The Bahrain GP is just:

Wow, hosting the season finale in some deserted area with dull scenery. That is a great way to end the year, way to go Bernie...

I hope the season finale is somewhere with atmosphere, I don't have anything against Bahrain as a track, but it is nice to see the crowds erupt as it were when the world champion wins - whoever that maybe (as long as he is wearing red!).

I wish they'd run at Road America, partly because it's only about two hours from me right now.

Organisers of the Brazilian Grand Prix have said they have not been approached about moving the date of the race to accommodate plans to reschedule the postponed Bahrain Grand Prix at the end of the season.

On Thursday, Bernie Ecclestone suggested the Bahrain GP could be added to the calendar after Abu Dhabi and the Brazilian GP could be moved on by a week. "We'll have a look and see what we can do, how we can swap things around a bit," he said. "Maybe we can change it with Brazil, or something like that."

The suggestion is that Interlagos' November 27 date could be pushed back to December, a move that could be less than popular because of the encroaching Brazilian football season.

A spokesman for the Brazilian GP told Globo Esporte that they had not been consulted or asked about a possible date change and reiterated that November 25 to 27 is the official date for this year's race, the last on the 2011 calendar.

Ecclestone said a decision about the Bahrain rescheduling is likely next Tuesday, when the World Motor Sport Council sits in Paris.
I have already booked the day after Brazil off work so I'd rather they didn't change it

Yeah, certainly for the sake of the fans, I hope none of the existing GPs are moved to other time, as I'd imagine many would have their travelling planned and tickets booked.

Best they just slot Bahrain to somewhere in between GPs

We have a four-week summerbreak this year. This will become just unbearable, so I hope they put Bahrain into it. On the other hand I know to hope this is unfair, because all the team-stuff really need this break, so for their sake I hope they won´t shorten the holidays, but for us fan´s it´d be great.

Well, if they're going to consider another track, I think they should hold Bahrain's replacement at Bathurst's Mt Panorama circuit. Over 6Klms of track, absolutely awesome (you'll see it from the video). And, it is awesome to watch from cause it's in the bush and people go and basically camp at the track for the weekend. We will get to see an F1 car there this year - apparently Jenson will do a lap and should break the lap record - which looks like this:-

I seriously doubt it, it'll simply too hot. Like up to 40 degrees up on the stands. Side fact is that Ecclestone might fit it between Brazil and Abu Dhabi.

This was not my idea, it was Bernie´s
Bernie Ecclestone hopes to re-schedule the Bahrain Grand Prix to take place during the August break in the F1 calendar.

Speaking to the official F1 website he said: “We need a race in Bahrain.

“If the Crown Prince is of the opinion that his country is able to host a race we will return to Bahrain.

“I think the teams are sensible enough even to race in Bahrain in the summer break, and despite high temperatures, because this is the way we can support the country.”

There is a four-week break between the Hungarian Grand Prix (29th-31st July) and Belgian Grand Prix (26th-28th August).

Average temperatures in Bahrain hit their peak in August in the mid-30s, around 10C warmer than in March when the race is usually held. Maximum temperatures in August are as high as 38C.

Ecclestone denied there was a need for an alternative race in Europe. He added: “The FIA has to change the calendar, and Bahrain has to apply for a new slot.

“The FIA World Council will meet at the beginning of March and could look into the situation.

“I have already spoken with FIA President Jean Todt about the possibility of finding a new date and we both agreed that a decision has to be made before the season starts.”

Re-scheduling the race may only be possible if the political situation in the country improves. Ecclestone dismissed suggestions that F1 should not race there for political reasons:

“Formula One must never be political – full stop.

“My job is it to do the best deals possible for Formula One – to secure jobs. Five thousand people have jobs which are directly or indirectly connected to Formula One, and I want to secure these jobs.

“It is not my business to make politics. We have politicians for that.”

I think Bernie was up for forcing the teams to do it do until someone pointed out to him that the spectators would dry up during the race. heheh. Good old Bernie.
