Alonso would have been in the fight for second if it weren’t for the poor start. Massa however was clearly very much off pace compared to Alonso. Very disappointing from Massa (aside from the great start). Had nothing to do with tires, he was just slow. He is our Webber. A season of these performances and this will be the last season Massa is in red.
The blame goes first off to Nicholas who has again not delivered the fastest car. Then to Alonso who had a poor start. And then to Massa for being consistently slow throughout the race.
Its one thing to have a slow rookie but Massa is a seasoned veteran.
Perhaps we can poach Kamui or put Bianchi in the car if he is ready.
I know it’s only one race but I’m so down on Massa after having supported him for so long. As a Ferrari fan I cannot take his poor pace much longer. I can’t wait to hear his excuses.

Greig is always out to pick a fight. It really pisses me off too. I guess we have to live with him as he is running the site.

They key was the start, I don't put the blame on Alonso as those things happen. I hope the car works better in Q3 and we start on the first or second row, that's very important to avoid problems. The team did a very good job in the end, 4 is promising for such a bad track for F150.

MMMMM... Malaysia is waiting for us.

We don't have pace during the quali, we don't have pace during the race. This car is garbage, just like the one we had in 2009.

No defending Massa here. Very poor pace compared to Alonso.

    Great Job

Aww, I wanted to see Alonso's finger again, this time celebrating revenge on Petrov. Well done for Alonso after a bad start and very enjoyable watching Massa for the first few laps fending Button off. Ferrari had the most fastest laps, Massa setting the fastest lap of the race. Also congrats to Sergio Perez, the young Ferrari Academy driver on a marvelous race with one one stop and 7th place.

Now I just hope our Melbourne qualifying and race pace was not indicative of what's to come, we shall do better and confirm our winter testing pace in all the following races. The team has two weeks to analyse, reflect and improve.

Solid performance, but since our customer car can take care of the tyres better than us, we need to get working, and if this is a bad weekend for us, then i'm happy. Special plaudits have to go to Petrov, Pirelli and Martin and David.

Good drive from Fa, except for the first couple of hundred meters

Massa very very disappointing. Hope he gets his house in order sooner rather than later.

So after millions of pounds spent, the DRS does bugger all to improve overtaking, and the car that won the race from pole didn't even have KERS installed all weekend!

Great job in cost cutting Formula 1!

It is hard to say for me but it looks like after his return Massa is not fast anymore.
Race was disapointing. We can't copete with RedBull and Macs (quali and race both) if they don't have problems.

Except for the nightmare start, that was all around a very decent race for Nando, nice comeback. At least the car seems to have some speed in it, which makes me hopeful for the races to come. Now bring on Malaysia!

I wish I could be positive on Massa as I have been in the past. I spent all of last season waiting for him to figure out the tires. But what during the entire last season, testing, qualifying and this race makes anybody positive about him? A lot of people at Ferrari are on the fire this season aside from him.

Ferrari should be two of the best drivers or the second should be a very promising rookie.

Two, prety much the same tactical errors with Massas case today. They didn't call him at the right time to the pits in the mid race, going a sec slower for about 7-10 laps while Webber and Nando were closing in. Then the same error at the end, losing a sec to Button. Maby we were trying to do a 2 stop race that didnt go too well? Guess we learned alot today.

Shame on Alonsos start, good of the line but got stuck .. else he would surely been a contender for the podium and the car looked really quick when he could run his own race so quite confident for Sepang :) Also brilliant strategic move to make Button pay :)

I think this result was okay, considering the qualifying results. Fernando lost so much on the start but he recovered very well. 4th place maybe isn't anything worth celebrating, but McLaren and RedBull are so fast that leaving Button and Webber behind is a really good effort in my opinion. Felipe's race started very well and he fought hard, but for some reason he lost his speed in the end of the race. The car isn't the best possible, but it isn't rubbish either. Let's hope it will be better in Malaysia.

    Just want to re-quote this

“Okay guys, keep your heads up – we will win the championship” -Fernando Alonso, after losing 47 points to Hamilton in 2010 British GP.
