Hopefully we are able to do that now and show we have a good car

I don't think Pedro would be in a position to determine compounds or favoured options, only report on his experience of them in a non-McLaren car! Even if he did. how does he know what compounds would turn a crap Macca into a good Macca. He'd be in greater demand that Adrian Newey if he were that clever

Pedro was not able to use our 900pages to do anything at McLaren, he is not that good, but he should still be nowhere near Pirelli tyre tests

Agreed, they should have someone independent.

Mac and RB didnt have to adapt in Oz..they were quick out of the box..but even the difference between
pole and 2nd was like 8/10's..thats huge...plus the difference in the soft and hard compounds..Matchet and the gang
were saying how huge the difference was between the 2 compounds....with no one really liking the hard tire.

I dont know if any of this equaites to Ferrari's poor performance..but between testing in Spain and the race, the
difference in performance was quite alarming..Its like Ferrari didnt test and just brought any old car to the race.
FA was doing pretty good there towards the end, but couldnt catch Petrov..then again, Webber couldnt catch FA,
and he was driving a RB.

Why de la Rosa? Why not Fischella? Or Alonso? De la Rosa is a current member of a team just like them.

The 1st paragraph on autosport is great!

De la Rosa set for final Pirelli run

Pedro de la Rosa has been allowed by McLaren to take part in Pirelli's key private test in Turkey that is scheduled to take place next weekend, AUTOSPORT has learned.
He has been allowed by McLaren?

I hope Pirelli will share whatever they learnt with all teams, because we can be sure as hell Mr Pedro will be sharing his with the Macca

The only way to be fair is to make everything available to all teams and not just use them internally

I dont buy that Pedro macca agent , as all the tema sget the data form the pirelli tests. i just htink it was the oddity of the track, that was different. i hope too, as we were a lot better on the permament tracks of Barc and Jerez.
