If we had fixed the problem of oversteering, how much would we have improved in time?

We have understeer, oversteer, that car is just all over the place. Something is wrong with that chassis...

I think Q3 went pretty good, I was happy to see the Reds atop the sheets at various times..
Missed Q but was surprised to see Vettel doing 134's...
We are a bit behind, but not as bad as it seems. Its doable.

Alonso's confidence is truly awe inspiring, unfortunately I just can not imagine the team keeping their end of the bargain. Simply speaking from the last few years, we have not come up with anything innovative like RB or even McLaren...

    I hope I am wrong...

    From Autosport

Pole position for the Malaysian Grand Prix was switched to the right hand side of the track following a pre-event request from drivers.

Traditionally the front grid slot at Sepang was on the left hand side of the track, because it gave a better line into the opening corner - which is a tight right-hander.

Sources have revealed, however, that following discussions between the FIA and F1's drivers in the build-up to the season about the impact of Pirelli marbles on the track, a decision was made to switch it.

Although the racing line is not as clearly defined as other tracks because drivers work their way over from the right hand side of the track to the left, a number of drivers felt that if there was a high level of marbles in Malaysia then they would most likely fall on the left hand side of the grid.

FIA race director Charlie Whiting agreed to make the change, and it means that pole position man Sebastian Vettel will now be forming up on the right hand side.

Speaking about the difference it makes after qualifying, Vettel said: "It is very important here to be on the clean side, especially as they changed sides, but we will see."
"I don't want to be treated as special because I'm not. I just drive a racing car round in circles a bit faster than everyone else." Michael Schumacher

that first couple corners going to be interesting. Longer run down there, with Mclarens KERS, fingers crossed couple touches and spins for them

Heres to a good reliable race and collect some good points. Keep out of trouble, and see how the race unfolds.

This is good. Now Massa, keep Superfred's Petrovite away, and overtake Heidfeld. all i ask is for a good start from Alonso and building on that.

I agree, we may be a bit behind, but thats in Q..I think once things get rolling and
if our guys can stay in touch w/the leaders, we may have a good race. In race trim
me thinks we are a bit closer to the front than people think.

Another disappointing quali session, seems we're just lacking pace. Stunning lap from Fernando in Q3, I didn't think a 35.8 was possible from the F150.

Lets hope for better race pace, I'm not ready to say goodbye to 2011 without a fight and I'm fairly certain Fernando, Felipe and Ferrari aren't either!

Yes we did use the soft tires. Massa admitted this in an interview.

No more softs. We used one set of option tyres in first part of quali, the top 4 didn't. So they could use 2 sets in Q3 while we just 1.

They sure could, but you need this tyres for race too and after two hot quali laps the tyres would be in very poor condition. But still there was no chance to be better than fifth and Felipe is starting from clean side so no harm after all.

To be honest, we are in such a bad position that there is no real point in playing the conservative game any longer; we should have just taken a gamble in the weather tomorrow and just go 100% as if we play it safe like the Red Bulls and Macs we have no chance in raw pace. Lets go try for wins now in bad form in strategy, as we saw last year the races in bad form end up to become very important.
    Lets go get them!
