Glad Alonso secured P5, best of the rest really.

Both RB and Macca are miles ahead. Would be tough to beat them tomorrow to finish higher than P5, but we'll see.

5th and 7th place are okay, the McLaren and Red Bull cars are just too fast. But the title won't be won by taking some 5th position. The 150 Italia must find more speed to be able to challenge the guys in front.

hehe, same as Melbourne. I'm hoping Lewis can take the fight to seb tomorrow, should be a good battle. Alonso on podium would be great. Rain would be even better

Massa let the Renault slip in ... but yes this really isn't a big deal for the race as we are far enough ahead to avoid too much craziness at the start. In a wet race everything is really up in the air.

our boys @ Marenello need to take note of this move by MCL. And they still ran the heavier titanium diffuser!

And a good first corner! Because he had a great start in Melbourne, until the first corner... Though I'm sure tomorrow will be different

Aren't they? I thought they were using it? Because if Vettel has no Kers, he'll be eaten tomorrow at the start by Lewis.

I dont recall a RBR run on TV with the full graphics on so I guess we cant be sure. But yes both RBR will be in bad shape after the first corner if they are not.

It was much worse in Melbourne. We're getting there... Slowly, but we'll catch them. The season is looooong...

It is astonishing how Maccas transform their turtle to this blaster. It is clear what we did wrong. We were too conservative, we didn't come with our own inovations. Now the only chance to catch them up is to find something big, that others don't have. Copying is not enough.

To quali: Fernando did good job by taking fifth. It is the best possible.

Looks like Fernando & Felipe could have done no better so well done you guys.
The faces in the garage tell the story though. It appears that we still 'don't understand' what's going wrong, how we're so far behind. If we don't know what's wrong we can't fix it! It is depressing.

But, the race is tomorrow and there's no reason why we shouldn't make some points ( just keep Nick Heidfeld, who's so often been a problem in the past, behind you Fernando!) to see us good at the end of the season when, please, we have a good car again.

I don't know if something "wrong" with the car. It seems like we have just been outdone in terms of finding downforce.

it is clear mclaren had a great car to begin with. they just rectified the exhaust and probably lost some performance in the process but will be the team to beat very soon.

as for ferrari at least we are on the clean side. but i think we will eventually get there.

the best things as that with maccas and red bulls fighting each other no one is going to run away with it

So is it safe to say that Flavio was right? 1s off the leaders, how the hell will we get that back when testing is banned over the whole season?
