    BBC and Felipe Massa

Has Massa done something to annoy them?

Eddie Jordan has always talked crap about most drivers so you tend to ignore him but now it's Ipad Jake constantly putting Felipe down, how he is going to be replaced, team orders, replaced, team orders.....

This "team orders" topic is really ridiculous. But replacement of Felipe is kinda real threat. If he will not have outstanding season... It is sad but true. I want him to win the title in Ferrari which was his in 2008 tho.

I'm not from UK, but whenever I heard them, they sound a lot like McLaren friendly and that they don't like Ferrari a lot...
Germany 2010, in my opinion made such an impact because of them I think...

    Regarding Massa,
I would love to see him WDC and thrash everyone, but right now, it sounds more logical that they will replace him, if he doesn't drive as he did in the past...

I dunno really, we seemed happy enough with Rubens to plod along at his own pace, and Felipe is much more competitive than that

I think it's just because of the hatred toward Ferrari for those years and years of us screwing with them. They just try to find a weak spot in the team and talk crap about it till it's fixed or gone. The whole Felipe ruining Buttons race in Australia probably didnt help either

The Felipe we saw today will not be replaced. No need for that at all.

They are Mclaren friendly, but ITV was even worse, James Allen worshipped Ramilton.

Among all the BBC F1 crew, I personally find Jake, Ted and David Croft the most biased towards McLaren (and against Ferrari). If anyone noticed during Ted's Qualifying report during the pre-race show today, while talking about Ferrari, Ted said "they're in for a long season". So he had already written us off for this season after one race and a Qualifying session!

DC, Brundle and Ant aren't exactly Ferrari fans either, but I tend to find them generally much more neutral (Ant is probably the most neutral).

So I'm not surprised they're giving it to Felipe as they are. He'll just have to do his talking on the track!

I think Ferrari make convenient antagonists for them to sell to the Brits (which they assume all exclusively love British drivers and Christian Horner for some reason) - a bit like a rather predictable film plot. Either that or Massa sat on his ipad.

DC seems fair enough, thing with Jake is he was never a F1 fan till he got the job, so Ferrari hating must be given as training to them

This is the first weekend I have not watched the BBC broadcast online and went for my TV's commercial ridden Speed network. The thing I liked about the BBC were their before and after race commentaries but it's full of Red Bull and McLaren love and Ferrari hate. I'll watch it sometimes but Varsha, Hobbs and Matchett do a very good and professional job.

Totally agree. Every single race it's Eddie blathering on about Massa and team orders, or Massa being replaced. I'm really, really sick of it. Got me down a bit today during the F1 forum when before that I'd been happy at the race he'd had.

And since when has EJ been an expert on Felipe anyway - he certainly wasn't an expert at Hungary 2009 when he claimed, IIRC, that a BIRD had hit Felipe up the face but he was fine!!

Honestly there's nothing that would make me happier than being able to kick him in his stupid face.

I don't like Eddie Jordan because most of the time his opinions are crap and he has no idea what he is talking about. And I must say I don't like Jake and his condescending attitude towards Ferrari either.

I'd like to give EJ a bop on the chin with summat heavy to be honest. The guy quite literally wears rose tinted specs and suddenly thinks he's an expert on Tyre wear. Believe nothing he says. It's pure blarney.

His wig is more circumspect than he is and I know which one I would rather trust.

I'm glad we have a quite decent broadcast in Spain now with Marc Gené and Pedro de la Rosa.

Lobato isn't half as bad as guys like EJ.

The BBC are just putting the boot in while we are down. They have always had someone on the team putting the knife into Ferrari. The thing with Formula 1 is, it's made up of 3 groups, 1% are people working in the sport and knows what's going, 4% are real fans with good knowledge who can see the bigger picture, the 95% left are just idiots hanging around pretending to know the inside story but really they know nothing. They are same the same people who follow the gossip more than the actual racing and come up with wild theories that are just ridiculous and never materialise. Jake Humphrey is the latter.

I think Massa drove a very good race. He was unlucky in his 1st pit stop and he looked more "racey" to me than Alonso did. I think both our drivers got the best pace out of the car

Bring back Ant and Damon Hill. They are fairly impartial. Jake was OK until he went on the advanced level of F1 training.

If you see every montage they do on 2010 you see the same Germany thing and then it is RB and MAC. its not like there was a red car that almost took the title, and trhey did enter more races than Germany.

I think Jake is biased, but its subtle. Eddie imo is a legend, mostly because i laugh at everything he says. today he got a tweet saying calm down eddie you fiery potato?!!!

The rests bias is fine as i enjoy the coverage, much better than ITV. but they barely ever talk about us. I knoe McLaren should get top priority in Britain, but showing more of HRT than us??

I actually thought, in today's pre-race coverage, we got some pretty good airtime, Lee's interview with Alonso, and then the live interview with Stefano as well. Plus Jake, at one point, did actually mention "plenty of Ferrari fans back in the UK"!

yeah was surprised at that. but judging by the ferrari fans reaction yesterday, maybe they were trying to give them more ammo to attack Stefano. anyhoo failed big time. We are now officially competitive. get quali sorted out, and BBC will have to talk about us as we will be onpole.

BBC is really nothing compared to what i've heard about RTL. apparently they just have a 'crisis' every time merc and seb to something good.

"iPad Jake" was really beating up on both Ferrari drivers today, it's quite obvious he simply doesn't like Ferrari, Massa or Alonso! He kept making snide remarks about the Alonso/Hamilton incident and like you already mentioned he goes on and on about Massa and team orders. Yet never once do we hear about the fact that the gap between Hamilton and Button is often similar and sometimes larger and all we hear about is Mclarens amazing recovery when infact they aren't really a whole lot closer to Red Bull than Ferrari and the fact they had to make that recovery is their own fault!

Felipe has always been an easy target to pick on. He's vulnerable because he will never be able to defend himself 100% in the english language and he's not a WDC. If Alonso is the evil one then Felipe is the uninvited one to the party. Either way he will always get stick while they will keep Alonso as the 'bad guy' Lewis and Jenson are 'fighting'. Typical British media tactics. They can't do the same with Webber (vs Vettel) because he's Autsralian and Anglo-Saxon.

Webber is portrayed as the "plucky Underdog who does a lot of good work for charity" over here, whereas Massa is defined by his team mate and his accident it seems.

What scares me is the number of people who really do believe what they get sold on the telly.

They hate or dislike Alonso too, so I'm not surprised, What strike me as strange it's that the BBC should be a McLaren love fest but it's not, it's a Red Bull love fest every race.
