New wing vs. old wing, both from this morning:

Many changes here. The top of the inner endplate is thiner. The bottom of the rear of the endplate is now missing the tab extension. The up sweep of the mainplane is less slopped and has a larger radius in the curve. And the most visible changes are the second and third flaps which are re contoured.

I think both Alonso and Massa ared driving quite well but they're not lucky.
Well Alonso (and Massa I think) said that the car is much better with the soft tyres now. They have much more grip and last almost as long as the hards. So I don't think qualifying on the hards in Q3 is an option - it hardly ever is if you can make it to top 6 anyways.
Both McLaren drivers, on the other hand, said that their car (with their new updates) feels much better on the hard tyres. It seems like their updates aren't working as well as they hoped, so they might still revert to the old configuration.
In any case, if Mclaren continue to struggle on the soft tyre, it might be a real opportunity for Ferrari to beat them in qualifying - thus no question of qualifying on the harder tyre for us.

They said that with the new upgrades, they found it easier to heat up the harder compound than in the last 2 races. So, that in it self is encouraging.

On the new wing, the camera mounts have been moved to inbetween the wing pillars.

Alonso did run the new wing in the second session, as shown below. He only ran the soft tires in the second session.

Look at the placement of the "Ferrari World" sticker

Should we sack the sticker putter on-er?

Definitely... He should be so sacked that he can never put another sticker on anything, not even stamps on envelopes...
