What to do if Vettel wins again in China?

I'm a bit worried about Vettel scoring 75 points after just 3 Grand Prix. He won just 5 last year and it was enough for him to win the World Championship. Of course, first thing we have to do is improve the car: balance, aerodynamically, qualifying... Everything, as much as we can.

At some point of the year we might need to take the most agressive path to put up a fight in both Championships. I was wondering if it would be possible to take everything to the limit, even if the engine, gearbox, etc. last no more than 3 races, and make it worth the gamble. If we won a few races and got a few podiums, it would be worth it, right?

Could it make the car something like .5 secs a lap quicker or so?

If das FingerKind scores 75 points i think it will be near impossible to catch him. That would mean concentrating on WCC. If Massa can somehow outscore Webber we may have a chance. If we haven't won a race by the time we leave Turkey, then we will need to really gamble me thinks. Better to take a gamble and finish 4th than be conservative and finish second (again).

    OMG this thread is depressing!
Anyways, ok - if Vettel wins again, we will have to start winning regularly next month. If we continue to struggle as much as now, it will be all over, I'm afraid. Getting the car up to the speed in July would be too late, unless Ferrari somehow bring a monster of a car or something, which is not going to happen mid-season.
So yea, the first 3 races of the European leg - Turkey, Barcelona, Monaco - will be crucial. Especially because RBR is essentially a one man team now, or so it seems.
Then again, this is Formula 1... I can't see Vettel continuing like this for the rest of the season. Something will happen.

now you know how everybody felt from 2000-2005 and if you old as me before 2000 had wait 21 years.
as for Vettel boy winning again well if he dose good luck to him and Redbull only reason why same reason why MS kept on winning in a Ferrari Nobody had come up with a good car to compete had to wait untill Renault.

Just impossible to take this path either...

Also, you can't do anything in engines, gearbox...
And if you can't catch them aerodynamically then it's just over...

I worry Vetel is already the 2011 champion. Yes in 2006 for example Michael was able to catch Fernando but it was just because only two drivers were fighting for championship. Now we have 4 teams able to win the race and from them RedBull is fastest. 1 or 2 more wins for Vettel and he can celebrate We have to pick up the pace really quickly to steal the title from his hands.

I think if you score 3 in a row it's almost over because then you can management the rest of the season and not race for the win just stay @ the podium and that all. :( MS 2000 & 2004, DH 1996

I dont think he will win this time round. i just have this feeling that a McLaren might do it. But if Vettel does, then we need to have that 'Plan B' or flexi wing or whatever it is working full capacity and well in Turkey, or then we have maybe no chance.

but remember, if any team can do this, we can.

2006,2007,2010, 2003 and 2008 to a lesser extent. then there was 1976 where Lauda almost won the world title after missing loads of races. BELIEVE!

May I ask you all a question?

When did Alonso give up last year?

No, indeed, he did not give up at all.
And now, after TWO races, we are talking about giving up? Vettel is champion already??
    No way!

    Oh, great!

It doesn't matter if Vettel wins the first three Grand Prix of the season, and if it does you're just giving up.

So, that's it. If Vettel wins another 5 races more you would still think Ferrari should not take more risks? Support the team, the drivers, blah, blah, blah... And that's it?

Vettel ready to match Schumacher win streak

...Vettel's performance added to the sense of inevitability about a victory for the German
this weekend. He won the race after setting pole position in Melbourne and Malaysia,
and also claimed pole in the past two races in China.

Should he go on with the job today and tomorrow, he will become the first man since
Schumacher in 2004 to win the opening three races of a season.

Vettel at this rate will be champion in the middle of the season. And only FIA could 'do' something by taking away their flexing wing/nose/bottom plate advantage. Which they won't, because it would make them look stupid and it would be an even bigger hint on manipulation from above.

They might introduce 'new rules' for next season, but this one is done.
