I belive he would improve the design. But he wouldnīt improve our strategy, our pit crew, and our leadership.
You did also point out that "he" was beaten by another team today. That shows that Adrian isnīt a magic answer as you now again makes it sound like.

We had a good race. Nando and Felipe, especially Felipe drove well. Shame about the strategy, would be nice (better) maybe to go to a 3 stop race. But, its done. More points for us. Its all about the bigger picture. Lets wait and see the upgrade in 3 weeks and start our season proper. Thoughts with Paolo and family.

Im sure over next 3 weeks, well 2 really all team be going flat out to get our "new" car up front and challenging the RBR and Mclarens.

Why can't you just answer the points raised against your own assumptions and proclamations instead of insinuating that other people are suggesting something they clearly aren't?

    Might be more fun

So therefore he would improve our team, then we can work on improving the strategy and pit crew? Which is my point, we need to improve a lot deeper than just taking Stefano out of the picture. Again I never said he is the magic answer, just as I said replacing Stefano is not the magic answer, YOU DID not me so please stop putting words into my mouth.

Red Bull was beaten today, not Newey, but Red Bull, again stop trying to say things I DID NOT SAY.

Fernando Alonso rear wing mystery explained

In Shanghai, the DRS zone was on the long back straight. It started 750 metres before the hairpin at the end of the straight and ends as soon as the drivers hit the brakes.

But at one stage, while Alonso was still behind Schumacher, television viewers saw the Spaniard's wing open between the hairpin and the final corner on lap 23.

BBC Sport has learnt that an error caused Alonso's DRS to 'offset' on that lap.

That meant it was not enabled until 300m before the end of the straight, and was then available after the corner for a short time.

This meant that he gained no advantage from the situation - in fact it actually caused him a disadvantage - so was given no penalty.

FIA officials are still investigating what caused the error.

Alonso eventually passed Schumacher two laps later, on lap 25, by getting a better exit out of the hairpin.

As others have said, the big problem here is - what happens if the DRS activates by chance in a fast turn?

so the wing opens automatically? I thought the driver still had to enable it?

Highly unlikely though isn't it, we could worry about many things in F1, like that loose wheel today.

Sorry, but no. Massa drove well, Alonso had a bad race. But that is all, a bad race, and it does not have to happen again.

As for strategy, I don't think it would have made a difference for Alonso, but it would have been nice to give Massa a 3-stop.

And then, as you said we know what the important thing is now - to get Paolo back to good health.

I have no doubt that Ferrari will bounce back!

If you consider the fact that Alonso was spending his FP1 doing aero test for the new and upcoming front wing, and this FP2 watching the mechanics fixing his hydraulic issue, he probably did the best he could given the difficult circumstances. Someone mentioned that Alonso had to take Massa's setup by Saturday, and even towards the end of FP3, Alonso was still adjusting his front suspension (according to commentators)

Given enough time to actually setup the car, I think he could probably find more speed than he did today

From what I understand the drivers do have to enable it. If they try enabling it outside of the designation zones though, nothing should happen since the software hasn't triggered the wing for activation. There was obviously some sort of glitch in Fernando's case, where either the wing opened on its own, or he accidently pressed the DRS switch and the wing opened when it shouldn't have.

he had few problems, and your right. If he would of had the time and running to get all set up he liked, sure of been better result. But considering all that he did drive really well today.
