This is the way I understand this to work. As the exhaust moves quickly through the pipe it creates a sort of a vacuum which forces air into the pipe. It's also a cumulative effect. The faster the car goes and the faster the engine revs the more air gets sucked into the pipe. IOW the faster the corner the better this will affect the diffuser.
If this does give us an advantage it will be exclusively for Barcelona, as other team will quickly copy it since it's so simple. I just hope it's enough to help Alonso win his home GP.
