Massa ran a 'radical' looking rear wing where the trailing edge of the flap extends above the endplates, and the rotation point of the DRS is mid-cord of the flap rather than the trailing edge. This would allow running a longer flap, while still getting maximum effect from DRS:

Why are they? We're way quicker than Button for example.

Tyres are same for all. It is the car what makes a difference and if constructors are not able to build a car which can use this tyres better than the others it isn't Pirelli's fault. (And by this I don't mean it is our case)

Alonso also ran a new rear wing with the McLaren like extensions at the bottom that act like an extension of the diffuser:

83 min: Hamilton's long run pace is competitive with the Red Bull pair at this stage, although it is impossible to know the relative fuel loads.
85 min: Ferrari has also shown good race pace so far this season and Alonso is also right with the Red Bull pace at this stage.

Alonso only about 1 sec behind Webby despite the problems in S2

I got a feeling we're continue to close the 1 lap sprint gap. And as we've seen last race, this translate to even better race pace

I think we're probably about 5 tenths slower than the top guys on quali pace, but race pace is looking really good, maybe even better. I think the main thing to pin our hopes on is not quali but the race. We seem to be catching up in quali pace but not there yet me thinks.

    5th, of course, and 8th

For different reasons I don't think we have an exact idea where our drivers are so I'll take heart from Karun Chandok on the bbc red button - "Fernando needs to target P3 then, I think, he can hang on to the Red Bulls". That is supposing, of course, that it's the Red Bulls who are 1 & 2!

I think as long as Fernando is in the top 3 on the grid, we will win this race. Our race pace is the best in my view and with Fernando at the wheel we will give them a beating!

honestly, I think we can do here in spain a beacon ... Vettel is not so far in race pace. and not nearly far from we have a gap of 1094 (but this has to be confirmed tomorrow).
I keep in mine, we have possibilities on race. I think a P4 in qualifying.

the ones i linked. one long run we were doing 1;29s, some 1:28. on par with McLaren.

EDIT: i remember the same gloom 2 weeks ago. so i think we should see what happens in qualifying.

What long run? Nando strung 7 laps together tops and they weren't consistent or impressive. Amazing is not what i would call it!
