Organisers of the Monaco Grand Prix are working round the clock to repair a section street circuit which was damaged when a truck caught alight.
The truck was parked at Ste. Devote when it caught fire on Tuesday afternoon. According to reports, the flames caused "major" damage to the surface.
The incident has already delayed arrivals to the paddock and with free practice in Monte Carlo on Thursday, track workers have less than 24 hours to repair the damage at the braking zone for turn one Ste-Devote corner.
A section of asphalt had already been replaced by Wednesday afternoon, but organisers are worried that it will not have enough time to dry properly before practice on Thursday morning.
