This is an excellent point. He would have signed Vettel, who is clearly in the top 1 or 2, and for far less money. Luca Di is a dunce

It was gamble and going against odds.
Meanwhile, it either says something or just nothing that Alonso, Schumacher and Raikkonen have reputedly spared a F1 podium on five occasions and Fernando has stood on the top step on every occasion. He's F1's first among equals. (PG)

nothing's really changed, for ferrari to win these days we need a near 100% dry race, with minimal flexibility in strategy and even then we might mess it up with one of our famous pit stops.

I feel a bit sorry for the spectators. On the other hands, they're lucky to be there.

ehm the bbc were saying these exact words when talking about Buttons pace on inters.

'Vettel and the others are waiting until this drizzle passes, and there will be rain in 15 mins, but it wont last long, so they will be thinking of pitting after that.'
in other words, this intensity of rain was not expected, and all teams were hit hard, apart from RB.

to call the team amateurs today is the most stupid thing i have heard.

it was bad luck, and since we have actually both cars running, unlike the silver guys, and anything can happen.

Agree with this. Ferrari would only use team order when it helps the title race, other than that, its up to the drivers. No reason why someone should move over if the team doesn't instruct it.

This is just a tough day for us. Right now, my biggest problem is I'm being bored out of my skull.
Depressing that Pedro's message said after they restart, SC is going to be out for as long as the track allows.

This is what I was afraid of after yesterday's qualifying. But, anything can happen if the race is resumed.

Two Merc getting the water of the track. They should open the track for the spectators and let them put in a couple of laps

Well said, even with the hi tech systems the team have its very difficult to exactly predict when rain will start/stop or intensify. At the time Alonso came in for inters, they were the tyres to be on, and if the weather had stayed the same it would have been an inspired move. Sadly weather is anything but predictable even with forecasting, and it was just bad luck that the rain intensified at that point.
