In the interim Ferrari needs someone who will keep Alonso on the move, without worrying the Spaniard too much, as he has not been very good at handling a competitive team mate in the past.

After all i didnt say stupid things...
So my conclusion here is that Ferrari need someone who is equally as fast as Nando but someone who isn't interested in winning races and will defer to Nando otherwise he would be too competitive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    That man is not Webber.
    not Kube
    not Kobayashi
    not............
I think it will have to be me.

Alonso handled teammates fine. just that one particular teammate didnt enjoy being 'handled' by him.

Ferrari was happy for Rubens to potter around for 5 seasons. Massa has been (and still is) a much better Ferrari driver than Rubens was so I can't see why they would want to change him. Imo he was faster than Alonso in Canada

I think we should have Hamilton in for Massa...(ducks head for cover)
No seriously..with his ability to take other drivers out we can use him as a lead blocker ahead of alonso aka American football. He will run ahead of Alonso and cause other drivers to crash out then by the time it comes to the last lap he will only have half a car and Alonso can easily overtake him. Imagine the posibilities. We wont even have to make a fast car cause he can just as easily take them out while they are coming around to lap him.

Webber to Ferrari? Why not, everyone else is going to be driving for Ferrari..
mabey Ferrari can just field 18 cars, then everyone can drive for Ferrari...
at the least, we'd win a race...

Indeed, all our threads are belong to Massa.

Talking about replacements, there's rumours in the autosport forums of LH going to RB together with Vettel, it could be fun to watch the inevitable meltdown

no he didnt. he made trulli cry by beating him so bad, he started to blame the team and car and then got himself fired for it.

Seems like the design team is already working around those specifications, Hamilton can't be that far from signing:

I think we should give Jackie Ickx another shot. Or maybe Chris Amon.

    Ferrari target Jenson

    http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/notw...on-Button.html

JENSON BUTTON is being targeted by Ferrari as McLaren face the break-up of their Dream Team of British world champions.

The team already fear a three-way scrap to hang on to unhappy 2008 champ Lewis Hamilton.

Now 2009 world beater Button has been lined up by rivals Ferrari - three years after he could not even get a test drive with them.

A source said: "There has been a lot of talk within Ferrari about getting Button. They have already checked to see if he would be available.

"The team realise they need a stronger partner for Fernando Alonso than Felipe Massa if they want to win the title again.

"They've seen Jenson prove at McLaren that he can consistently win or get on to the podium."

Button's three-year, £18million deal with McLaren finishes at the end of next season - as does Brazilian Massa's Ferrari contract.

I never ever........ever.........thought I would see that headline even in a piece of rubbish tabloid like the NOTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rest assured, the only thing I notice on those newspapers are the headlines, as they fill the whole page and they take up most of the newsagents sales display.

The point being, even as an headline in a trashy tabloid, its still a surprise to see.
