    A great result for FA!
Pity for Felipe so close to the flag but nonetheless a good race for him.
A satisfying race for the team as a whole I'd guess since it's not one of Ferrari's favourite tracks and the cold conditions were said not to be good for a us, so 2nd is great.

Re.the fuel sample: the pundits on the BBC red button say that so long as there's enough fuel left for testing (1 ltre I think) at the ened of a race that's fine. It can be found in various parts of the car's mechanisms, it doesn't have to be in the tank.
Presumably that's why Fernando was told to pull over PDQ after the flag.

I though it was only for quali that it had to be enough to get them back to base?

Looking forward to Hungary - Ferrari's on the up

The camera didn't show too clearly of how Ferrari screwed up Massa's stop. Looked like there was a slight delay when putting on the left rear tyre.

last year Alonso was almost 1.3 sec down in Quali on Vettel's pole position time; hopefully this year won't be as bad in QUALI as we know our race pace is better then the Bulls

their car was built around that aggressive mapping which they have had last year as well; i guess if your car is NOT built around it is really hard to copy
but even our updates are pretty good too, as we've seen that they don't qualify 8 tenths to a second or more in front of us like they did at teh beginning of the year

so we can still put some pressure on them, especially finger boy/screaming school girl Vettel

He is just a engine mapping champion as i said before. His car was built around aggressive mapping and now we all see in limited banned rules he struggles so much. When he is back he does not have no more victories, without mapping no pole position. But he has enough gap to be a second time champion.I am happy for this day's result also last three races.Second, first and second and i guess Fernando and Ferrari will keep their perfonmance in next races.Today was a cold day but in Hungry there will be hot conditions in my opinion and we will show them again a red car celebrating another victory.See you mates i am returning to sea again:))

Thought Felipe had a stonking race today. Real shame at the end. You can say a lot of things about Nigel Stepney but he whipped the pit crew in to shape when he was there.

he lost the grip, the gap FA-LH after pitstop was more than LH-webber, but the grip wasnt there, he couldnt fight in turn 2 like hamilton pushing webber to the grass...

classic stuff from webber-fernando, well they have good relationship... both of them, told enjoying the race when fighting each other... and webber the one who agree with team order last year in here...

Both drivers were brilliant today, Felipe was so gutsy - overtaking and keeping Vettel behind him for ages.
Why does it always go wrong for him

Great job to-day by both of our drivers--pity Ham got past Nando.
As for Felipe I am really proud of him to-day. Someone needs to whip his pit crew into shape. Come on Rob.

Final lap blunders two races in a row for Felipe Hopefully a podium is on the cards for him as he drove a briliant race today. Solid performance by Fernando, guess the McLaren was a tiny bit faster today.

    Felipe

    Fernando

    F150

Ferrari pit crew, still one of the fastest, but apart from the wheel nut at Felipes stop. we cant complain,as Silverstone it happened to redbull.

We had imo the fastest car today in the race, Lewis, i got to give him credit was brilliant. that pass on Fernando was pretty good.
Cold temperatures hurt us, but still second and thats very good. we head to hotter temperatures, to the Hungaroring, and i feel confident. was very impressed by the speed of the car, just that Lewis got some good heat in the tyres, got some good luck with the traffic, but it was a great performance from him.

Great race from Hamilton, you have to hand it to him, he proved today why many say he is the best.

Alonso will be happy with this week, this was always going to be difficult with low tyre temps and he would have deffo taken P2 Before the race ahead of Vettel.

As for Vettel..........well....all of a sudden he seems to have magically lost that 0.5 second gap he had over webber.....strange that isnt it............all of sudden things are looking more and more like last year, with Webber as fast and sometimes faster.....wonder how mark just found that half a second eh ?

Maybe the contract negotiations have made Webber pick up his game....cause nothing else has changed

Rubens used to be as fast as MS and faster on some tracks too, means little really in the overall picture

I hope not, because it is a little too odd that when they started cracking down on the crazy engine mappings....webber suddenly began to look as fast as Vettel.........just like last year when they were neck and neck.

They had the maps last year as well though And they had them today

Webber said today that the harder the tyre the better for him and the less better it is for Seb

So obviously since we 100% know for sure webber has EXACTLY the same car, and exactly the same Engine mappings...........then somehow...he must have just pulled all that time out of nowhere.......very odd that, I wonder what changes he has done in the last month or so to get back that huge amount of time.

It's not that odd really, you could ask why Jenson has dropped back from Lewis since Canada, why Felipe has come back into some form etc etc

not to be mean about an ex team member, but wow, all this right after aldo costa left, my point is, was he holding us back that much? or was this higher performance coming either way, independently of aldo leaving or staying?

Cause it's not like we had an improvement like we had been having under aldo costa, where we gain very little, as by the time we would have the updates, redbull's would have upgrades of their own, thus not letting us come close.

The improvement of this f150 for these last 3 races is simply amazing, redbull is no longer in a league of their own, we were ages behind them when this game started. no wonder fernando and felipe are very happy and optimists about the car for the rest of the season and next, i wonder if this also has to do with that changing of personnel at Maranello.

Felipe is still getting outqualified by the same margin nearly every week isnt he, which is at the moment about 0.5 of a sec on average.

And about the mark liking the harder tyres.....he is outqualifying/neck and neck seb on the soft tyres no? even before they slightly tweaked the compound for this race? Not sure how much of it can be explained away with tyres.

From what I have heard. and mark kind of sliently hinted at it today in his interview with Jake, he is happy to stay at RB, but he wants assurances he is getting 100% equal treatment, they may have the same parts on the car, but you wonder about the mapping settings and how much of an advantage they are to vettel rather than mark.

    fun fact!

Ferrari have outscored McLaren in the WCC since Valencia now, and RedBull since Silverstone!

good job guys. if this was may, Ferrari would have been lapped twice probably. this was bad, bad conditions, and McLarens best conditions. well done on them to win, but to be just as fast means that the Ferrari is extremelt fast, and it WAS the upgrades in Silverstone.

Hungary, should be good, but correct me if im wrong.

did the protests last year stop Ferrari having a bendy wing, but RB managed to find something smart? i seem to remember this was when the bendy wing stopped.

Mechanicla grip, the car is good there, and aero is almost there with the bulls.
