I'm not, i'm saying it's the reason why Alonso is limited in how much he can contribute to the development of the car.

According to what was said Felipe just "pushed" him into his shoulder and congratulated him. But I don't have any video.

You could see tension...as they said in different sport Lewis would hit back.
Meanwhile, it either says something or just nothing that Alonso, Schumacher and Raikkonen have reputedly spared a F1 podium on five occasions and Fernando has stood on the top step on every occasion. He's F1's first among equals. (PG)

Difficult and rather disappointing race today. Alonso again extracted the maximum from the car. Massa's race again destroyed by another driver. Hamilton's driving this season is just ridiculous. Maybe this time it was a race incident, I don't know, but he collides with a driver at almost every race. It's just unacceptable. You have to draw a line. I feel sorry for Massa who is understandably getting more frustrated about his season.

Not according to Fernando, he still thinks that 2nd spot in WDC is still valuable to him...
doesn't compare to 1st spot, but better then 4th, 5th or even 6th...and like i said at the rate we're doing so far with our performance over the weekend period at latest races, Fernando will be lucky if he finishes 5th or 6th...

There's no way he will finish any lower than 5th, and if he did finish 5th, that wouldn't be "lucky".

that's not what i meant to say, i'm just saying that is going to be VERY HARD to get 2nd and even harder to maintain it, given that both mclaren drivers and webber have more competitive cars as of now; maybe Ferrari will improve a bit and Fernando will do his absolute best (like he usually does) and maintain that 2nd.

Yeh i agree that it will be hard to keep 2nd, simply because our car is the third fastest now, and since the summer break, it seems like we have taken a step back relative to Mclaren and Red Bull.

If we are to be optimistic, maybe the medium/high speed corners of Suzuka will suit us more (that's what Fry and Alonso had been saying), but realistically, we probably know that Red Bull will be too strong.

Thumbs down Alonso gives 120 % for driving??

Yesterday Alonso was overtook by Webber in a simple moment where that would no be possible. Is the dude wake or not, because he should be fighting for WC in every year, again next year. During the season 2010 Mr. Kobayashi did a same thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94xjYv3sbLk

Ferrari shoud change both drivers, because they are not worth of it. Massa has been collised by Webber and Hamilton past two races. Should he give more space if he can't drive as fast than the competitors...

Singapore Quali for the first time in very, very long time in LaSexta (I wasn't at home so I didn't have satellite).

When the Quali ended, Nira Juanco, with a LaSexta private camera went to talk with Alonso. She told him something like "Wuau Fernando an incredible lap you did there, amazing, but, of course, your car doesn't have wings, so there was no way to do better, right?" And Fernandito answered something like "yeah, I gave 120% and took risks at several corners. If I didn't give 120%, I would have been 1 second slower, like Massa, who doesn't try like I do".

I just discovered that Jaime Alguersuari and Alonso are in something like a war.

Alonso said that he was not in the podium among other things because of the lapped cars and Jaime has accused Alonso of lack of professionalism.

I thought it was quite clear Algersuari allowed Webber through without problems but tried to block Fernando. Even the Ferrari twitter commented on that in a sarcastic way when it happened.
There must be a lot of envy from Algersuari's side, and he seems to make this a personal goal- be in Fernando's way whenever possible. Also, what i heard from the spanish fans, his family is rich and influential in Spain. They were quite angry at a part of the spanish press defending Algersuari and having a go at Fernando after the race.
If there is war its not from Fernando's side though. He is not the one who started that becoming 'personal'.

The one who is behaving unprofessional here is Algersuari himself, being the rich, spoiled kid that he is. Its not the first time spanish press gets involved in this and it won't be the last.

The main thing was lack of speed, he said it with his mouth, the problem with Jaime was just a tiny tiny thing in the big scheme of things, he never blamed Jaime for his race result, it's just that didn't did his job as a backmarker.

I think Ferrari should stop selling there engines to Torro Rosso, they have obviously sided with the competition!!!! Jaime taking over webber's seat= dream on Kido

"I cannot judge what he did in his time at Renault and McLaren but I have worked with World Champions Schumacher, Villeneuve and Raikkonen and Fernando is the one who impresses me the most," said Gene.

I thought that too. I already thought that last season. RB has not only a car that is 2 seconds faster than all others (at least one of the cars is), but also two other teams to help them out at times.

I don't quite get where all that 'RB-love' is coming from. What have they done to deserve all that help? What is FIA's interest in this? Has F1 really changed from being a sport to a merely commercial business for the likes of RTL- viewers (any german will know what i mean by that)?

And is this even worth still watching?

There are threads over threads about Massa approaching Ramilton in his interview. A single incident i saw, laughed about it and went on. Maybe i'm getting too old for this- kids are taking over from old- fashioned fans of the sport turning it into a soap opera.

Lets have a telenovela every sunday for our amusement...

    *rant over- for now*

Does that mean Renault should stop supplying Red Bull with engines seeing as they are getting beaten with their own engines?

The problem here is not about who's beating who, but rather, Torro Rosso is not acting completely neutral on track. They seems to favor RB more than other opposition teams. They would bend over backwards to move out of RB's way if they have to, but they seems to be taking their own time when it comes to Alonso.

As we saw yesterday, the backmarkers really held Alonso up while Webber was closing in.

Of course I'm not saying the backmarkers are to be blame, Webber was too fast for Alonso to hold back anyway, but those TR cars taking their own time isn't helping at all.

Had Webber and Alonso been matched on pace, it could have been a big problem for us.

    Completely different scenario.

With their engine deal from next year onwards, Red Bull effectively becomes the works team of Renault Sport. Even as things stand, Lotus-Renault is not really a works Renault team, since Renault doesn't own any stake in that team.
