Well sad to say but I think Fernando and Felipe should simply get what enjoyment they can out of the race, which, with little overtaking opportunities, will not be much, but perhaps just a bit of experimentation re. strategies and whatever else is possible to make it interesting for them. I’m sure both drivers feel they owe a top placing for their fans but no-one could have tried harder than Fernando and Felipe , in the latter’s case without even a podium to show for it. It’s the car – was and will be till the end of the season.
Other drivers begin to think they can driver round ours at will, Vettel assumes he’s Alonso’s equal because he has 2 world titles. There will be a lot of physiological ground to be made up next year at this rate.

    1. So, try some jump starts - never mind about drive throughs , enjoy the clear traffic in the pit lane
    2. Should you have a faster car behind you practise your defensive driving skills with a bit of zigzagging from side to side – Lewis or Michael should be your models in this area;
    3. Start with a very low fuel level – you’ll run out of course but it will stun the rest of the field for a few laps. Respect.
    4. then whip out a Ferrari flag to stick in your stranded cars and go home early, safe in the knowledge that you were the most entertaining drivers on the track!
    Go Ferrari

Ignore all above if either/both Ferrari drivers makes more than 3 o/ts before the end of first straight.

I didn't want to get my hopes up again, but I hope to see 2 guys in red suits on podium today.
Meanwhile, it either says something or just nothing that Alonso, Schumacher and Raikkonen have reputedly spared a F1 podium on five occasions and Fernando has stood on the top step on every occasion. He's F1's first among equals. (PG)

I woke up this morning and looked at my chrystal ball. And guess what? It's not going to happen for Vettel today!
We will have an exciting race, with excellent Ferrari performance!

    Or was I just dreaming....?

    You decide mr.Alonso and mr.Massa!!

The Red Bull never breaks down, they are the fastest car, they are hogging the front of the grid on a hard to overtake track and for this race Webber is Vettels lap dog.

So Alonso and Massa get out there and beat him , you have nothing to lose having the engine at max and taking massive gambles on maneuvers. GO FOR IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The RB never breaks down , true, but this is also a track where th smallest mistake can mean DNF and that mistake is very easily made. And Vettel makes mistakes if another car is right behind him.

The only thing that will stop Vettel is someone crashing into him or a really bad luck with the SC. I hope Fernando can get a podium, that will be very special, will love to have Massa in front of one McLaren driver too. Good luck boys.

Just like Monaco, the safety car is almost guaranteed here, which makes the race a bit more of a lottery, especially with regard to tyre strategies. Hopefully our cars taking better care of the tyres will reap some rewards for once.

Just five minutes before the opening of the pit lane. As usual, there will be some pass through the pits to check track conditions and do some practice starts.

Weather situation is very stable: hot and sticky, no rain expected for the moment.

He does most of the time, at least with the Spanish and Italian TV, sometimes, in races with difficult conditions he don't.

He gives on track interview to bbc like once in a year, maybe that comes from McLaren days, when British media was very kind to him
