I feel for Massa. But nothing wrong in the teams choice to back one driver and make sure the other is not taking the valuable WDC points away. And its legal.

Ofcourse the cars are the same (except the driver preferred setup) and ofcourse Ferrari wants BOTH drivers to score as many points as possible.
