Felipe's luck... or lack of

We have to differentiate between bad luck and results

I don't think anyone here is claiming that Massa's overall performance this season has been purely bad luck.

Massa bad luck has been attributed to individual things that have happened to him such as being knock at so many different sides of his car this year. Lewis on his left side, Webber on his left rear, and Lewis again on his right rear... you get the point.

I don't know I Massa is the driver who have been hit by others the most time this year, but I think Massa is at least pretty close to that. His luck has been real bad for some reason.

But the point is no one is claiming Massa's entire result this season is purely down to bad luck.

Have you looked at the driver standings for the year so far.

1 Vettel RBR
2 Buuton Mclaren
3 Alonso Ferrari
4 Webber RBR
5 Hamilton Mclaren
6 Massa Ferrari

The order is exactly as per the pace of the respective cars and their 1st and 2nd drivers. Massa is no slouch and has done a great job so far.

in Massa's case swop the word luck for Ramilton.

@xpman; i don't agree, Massa is a great driver but the F-150 is just not fast enough so what can you do when your car is not fast enough for a victory but just from 4th place and downwards.....lets not forget the move he made on Sergio Pérez was a piece of great overtaking, so what do you mean by he never fully returned to his great form before the accident???

Ps dont forget that Pérez is also a member of the Ferrari driver academy and could replace Massa in 2013.....

Mika nearly gave up F1 after that accident. It affected him BIG time. It was only after chat with Ron (few long chats) that he carried on racing. As for Kubica, yes it was a shocking and massive accident, but in all due respect. He wasnt seriously hurt.

Clearly his and Alonsos car are different. When he has to push just to stay in 5-8 spot. The mistakes are coming. Hammi and co. are not happy to be behind Massa knowing the chance for podium or win is vanishing.

I feel for Massa. But nothing wrong in the teams choice to back one driver and make sure the other is not taking the valuable WDC points away. And its legal.

No offense, but seriously? His hand was nearly amputated by the accident and also lost a LOT of blood. He's had THREE long duration surgeries to repair the damages done to his arm/hand, legs, etc. Please don't tell me Kubica wasn't seriously hurt. He very nearly died considering it took rescuers an HOUR to get equipment on scene to cut him out.

True. If Hamilton actually paid attention and injected a little professionalism into his driving, he might just have fewer stupid accidents. Who could nlame Felipe for his anger after the Singapore race?

Felipe's points are correct imo, and he said that he's done all the talking he wanted, and now he goes back to Normal Massa.

And his points were, how many more times will lewis destroy another driver's race? how many more times he will get a drive throu penalty? how long will is take to get banned from 1 or 2 races? and most importantly, when will it be too late? when he injuries himself badly? when he injuries other drivers badly?

you never hear Hamilton acknowledge that his driving methodo needs to change, after every incident he comes back with the same excuse, that he is simply a driver who wants to win, and he claims that he is right, because he thinks that is what fans wants to see, he talks as if every f1 fan watches the sport to see him driving like it's something out of a hollywood raceing movie, pure nonsense.

He cries out like he has been a victim of some sort of idea made that the only way to stop him is to punish him, he even tried to play the race color card, that's how ridiculous he has been, just apologize and ackonowledge that you were wrong and as felipe says use his mind to remember how to behave in a F1 race.
